A MOVE THAT SHOULD COME WITH A HEALTH WARNING.

God TV is calling this the great Awakening ,  after the revival where God used Jonathan Edwards who to bring revival to America and beyond.  Edwards at least had integrity unlike the God TV presenter. Now we have a prophecy relating this movement to the Birth of Jesus.  What pride and arrogance.  Are we to fall down before Bentley and worship such a move?

I agree with only one part of this prophecy  … GOD IS INDEED TESTING HIS CHURCH.

YET NIGHTLY TV CAMERAS GRAB THE ACTION AND RECORD THE EVENTS AND MIKES ARE USED TO BELT OUT THE NOISE.   In simply terms as a prophecy it is a lie

Those who have chosen to embrace this movement do so at the cost of their own spiritual well being.  Personally it should come with a HEALTH WARNING.

There is no doubt in my mind that Bentley is the judgement of God upon a church that has noT only lost sight of the truth , but is quickly coming to reject the truth.

It is not that what Todd Bentley is doing is hidden;  in fact everything is out in the open for all to see.  It has been well documented and verified.  What we see is a form of new age Hindu mysticism.

As one time friend told another some years back when he made the decision to embrace the Toronto curse.  They needed this , it was not a matter if it was right or wrong, truth or error They wanted to embrace it . They made a fateful decision.  truth was sacrificed, and what was embraced was anything but  truth.  They paid the price for disobedience.  It saddens me that so many who called themselves Christians, can no longer measure the heights, breath or the depth of this apostasy.  They will embrace it because they have chosen to do so.   So long as It meets a need that is all they are concerned about, and to hell with the rest.  That my friend is the judgement of GOD.

Jesus was born in a stable. There was not even room for him at the inn. The normal expected place of birth for a King was in a Palace, even an ordinary baby would be born in a home.

The next option, being born at least in an inn. Jesus was the King of Kings anointed to change the universe FOREVER. He had NO soft pillows but HAY to lay His head on. He was born in a manger.

ONLY the ones who were really following the Spirit of the Lord found Him.

The awakening has been birthed in a LOWLY PLACE. There are no soft pillows or cushions. No comfortable conference chair, American church seats. But thousands of cheap, plastic glaring white seats.

No sophisticated sound system or overhead projectors, handheld mikes, no earpieces, fluctuating crowds.

Even the worship the first few days was being sung out of key. It is not even possible to disguise the lowliness of the birth of this awakening on television. It is evident to ALL. There are no beautifully lit convention centers or even air conditioned church buildings.

The Awakening has been born IN A MANGER. In the manger. Jesus was not surrounded or feted by the Pharisees or Sadducees or the religious Jewish leaders of the day, they did not recognize Him.

And yet, He was called to be King of the Jews. The only people who recognized Him in these lowly beginnings were the three wise men and the shepherds who were in no way connected to the religious elite of the day. But the THIRD HEAVEN was there through the Portals in mass. The ANGELIC HOSTS, Gabriel, the Father’s messenger. Singing Glory to God in the highest. The Anointing was there. But it was unseen by all except the faithful few.

Today there are not many of the spiritual elite not many of the preaching circuit. In Tongaat, many are at a safe distance. Watching weighing. But the shepherds and wise men who follow the Holy Spirit understand the gift of the Father in this awakening that is being birthed.

The Hindus. The Muslims. The unlovely are gathering to be touched. It is they who sit on the plastic white seats. It is a test. It is a protection. The same way that Jesus being born in a stable was a test for the religious Jews. And a protection to outsmart the devil. To protect the very Son of God. It is uncomfortable here for Todd. It is uncomfortable for GODTV.

The same way that in the natural it was uncomfortable for Mary and Joseph. And yet in the spirit realm, something almost unimaginable is being birthed, which has the potential to change the face of the earth. Yes, Plastic white seats are offensive to us all. When they are empty they SCREAM. But the Father is JEALOUS over the birth of this baby. THIS AWAKENING. And He will allow no man, no women to receive the Glory that is His alone, so it will be evident TO ALL that it is no man. No media channel. No church. No hungry ex lake landers, that have birthed this outpouring in this HARD, HARD PLACE. But it is the Father. Lord of Hosts. Almighty God. Hallowed. Omniscient. Omnipotent. The HOLY ONE Himself. THIS has been birthed by God.

PS I don’t think anyone other than Todd would have had and have the courage and sheer guts of spirit to see this through- to stand in the HARD PLACE. And probably no one other than GODTV would have had the revelation of the shepherds and wisemen to broadcast it to the world. The Lord is very, very PROUD of his beloved Todd and Jessa.

PERSONAL WORD FOR TODD

For my son beloved son,

Do you not realize I knew when I birthed you all those years ago? I knew when Lakeland was aborted; I saw this very day.

And I chose to choose you. I chose to bring this move THROUGH you. And when you look back in days, weeks and years gone by, you will know beyond any doubt that this, that you stand in this river this flowing torrent that has yet to explode, you shall look back in wonder and know that it was by NO MAN’S hand that this was birthed but ONLY by me.

So be strong. Be strong. Be true. Be very courageous. Stand your ground. Don’t doubt when the enemy’s lies assail you, for you stand on the edge of the ocean and all looks calm. The ocean is calm; there is no great visible evidence yet of the MAGNITUDE of what lies beneath. But know that as you walk each day hand in hand with me, there shall yet be a day and be an hour. Oh wow, I see TITLE DEEDS to THIS GREAT AWAKENING. TITLE DEEDS that have been ASSIGNED TO YOU by the COUNCILS of HEAVEN – COURTS of HEAVEN- with your name signed by the FATHER, witnessed by JESUS and the HOLY SPIRIT.

 Prophesy by Wendy Alec to Todd.: Lord is very, very PROUD of his beloved Todd and Jessa. How can God be proud when a relationship is birthed out of adultery and fornication?  How can GOD be proud when it is birthed out of disobedience and occultism?    I Suggest the person Wendy is listening to is not God but satan. He alone is the one proud of what these two people did.  This is not just an attempt to shove a new moved down people’s throats, but it is also an attempt to justify Lakeland  as a true move of God.  Those who follow and embrace Todd are desperate to see Lakeland exonerated. 

Whatever we one likes to put this.  Wendy Alec has chosen to place Todd central to this movement and even God himself has been forced to take second fiddle.  The one thing true revival always points to is God.  No man gets the glory in Emmanuel’s land. 

Faith is having a …….what attitude ?

Is Faith nothing more than a positive attitude?   This quote comes from Facebook, a comment someone I know put up on their Facebook.

 It seems despite almost 60 responses to this comment.  The majority bar one agreed with him.  A sad state when the church has absolutely no idea what FAITH is and what it is not.   Here is one quote from a women who definitely had no idea. 

  W.R.Flores” Wow! It doesn’t get more clearer than that! Thank you, Pastor!!

I have to admit I just cannot commend this woman for her response, and she was just one of almost 60 people.  Many of which said “Amen” to John Hagee statement

Now out of those 60 just one man responded Biblically and honestly. 

Farrier “ I hate to disagree…and its a first on this page, but No, I’m sorry pastor, FAITH is not merely maintaing a positive attitude despite your limitations, FAITH is having FULL confidence in God to do all things through you and not worrying about the need for your individual effort, or questioning God’s timing by your definition of results.”

I stand to commend and applaud that at least one person was willing and able to define the truth on Biblical Faith.  What makes this so serious is that merely having a positive attitude cannot keep you from Hell but faith in God will. 

Notice how many LIKES he got for that comment.  Is that 321, 363 potential souls on their way to a lost eternity and only ONE gave the right response.  How many will follow this man who is on record as rejecting Christ as the messiah is anyone’s guess.  But personally this is serious stuff.  When the people who call themselves Christians can no longer define what Biblical faith is , we know we have a problem today.

 

WHY THE WORD OF FAITH IS LIKE AN OPIUM!

Jer 17: 5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed [be] the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD

2Cr 1:9 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:

Yet is this the confession of the Word of Faith teachers?

We (the church) are Christ. (Kenneth Hagin, As Christ is — So are we, Tape #44H06)

The Christian “is as much an incarnation as was Jesus of Nazareth.” (Kenneth Hagin, “The Incarnation,” THE WORD OF FAITH (Dec. 1980), 14.)

“Man is a spirit who possesses a soul and lives in a body…., He is in the same class with God. …We know that God is a Spirit. And yet [He] took upon Himself a man’s body….when God took upon Himself human form, He was no less God than when He didn’t have a body. Man, at physical death, leaves his as he was when he had his body.” (Kenneth Hagin, Man of Three Dimensions [Tulsa: Faith Library, 1973]

“[Man] was created on terms of equality with God, and he could stand in God’s presence without any consciousness of inferiority…God made us as much like Himself as possible…He made us the same class of being that He is Himself…Man lived in the realm of God. He lived on terms equal with God…[The] believer is called Christ…That’s who we are; we’re Christ” (Kenneth Hagin, Zoe: The God-Kind of Life, 1989. pp. 35-36, 41)

One of the major problems that word of faith believers have to cope with is the need to keep trying to reassure themselves that they are gods.. That means having to try to live up to an elevated level of a god. Whose heights are so high, and the air so thin that they almost fall over with the sheer magnitude of their boasting.

Now to be fed a daily dose like the above teachings that one can be in the very same class as God. He can do what God does; speak as God does, use the same faith as God does, Create as God does. God himself is more like us. It all becomes a heavy opium of positive emotions that few can resist, a positivity that is centered around oneself and specifically on ones confession. But the need to keep bolstering this image has to be a daily battle.

In The Force of Love, another sermon tape, Kenneth Copeland states, “You don’t have a god in you, you are one.“

Earl Paulk of the Harvester Church in Atlanta, Georgia, in his work, Satan Unmasked, explains it like this: “Adam and Eve were placed in the world as the seed and expression of God. Just as dogs have puppies and cats have kittens, so God has little gods; we have trouble comprehending this truth. Until we comprehend that we are little gods, we cannot manifest the kingdom of God” (p. 97).

Cats and dogs may reproduce, but God did not copulate in order to create man. Such foolishness is astounding.

In his book Agony of Deceit, Michael Horton has documented Kenneth Copeland in a 19 July 1987 crusade as saying, “I say this and repeat it so it don’t upset you too bad. When I read in the Bible where He (Jesus ) says, I AM, I say, Yes, I am too!” (p. 268). In John 8:58, I AM is a self proclamation of Jesus own unique Deity from Exodus 3:14, 15.

Few however realize the sheer magnitude and consequences to such teaching, never mind the effect it has on people’s minds. These teachers then live on a constant high that leads them to believe that they have something the rest of us poor lowly creatures don’t. They become full of stinking pride that’s boasts in their position and revelation. If you cant see your own godhead tough luck. They have ascended the height and now dwell in the place of the most high. They have arrived at a revelation where even God himself must submit to their confessions. Their confessions become God. It rules over their universes and they are the gods within that universe. They then have to see themselves as RICH HEALTHY PROSPEROUS and SUCCESSFUL. Never mind the fact that they could be BROKE ILL and anything BUT PROSPEROUS. It does not matter, mind over matter; confession over reality; What they speak forth must become reality.

Living in a world they think has to bow to their confessions. Pride overwhelms them and they can’t be told. That would be embracing a negative confession. The battlefield becomes an issue of negative over the positive. They don’t see that the real issue is truth and error. Sometimes truth can be negative and error seen as positive. That does not matter, being equal to God does. They are towering above the rest of humanity and God help anyone who does not see the world as they do.

Rev 3: 17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

They boasted a positive confession but the reality was so very different.

Scripture reveals their true reality: POOR WRETCHED AND BLIND.

Rev 3: 18-19 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and [that] the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

How many of these prosperity teachers would relate such negative statements as this apostle has?. It was not in their confession or even in their goods, but in their relationship with God. You can be poor materially but still be rich in the things of God,

1 Cor 4: 11-13 Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwelling place. And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it: Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, [and are] the off scouring of all things unto this day.

Can we see any of the Word of faith teachers today relate to such a testimony? It’s hard to see oneself as a god when one is poor, imprisoned hungry and thirsty.

In the end if they take their confession to its obvious conclusions they are left with a superstitious belief where a negative confession has to be immediately replaced by a positive one. As the tongue is such an unruly member a confession blurted out in the heat of the moment is still a confession. Negative confessions may bring sickness and even death. But a positive one will acquire for them all that THEY WANT. It is not a matter of surrendering one’s life to God but that creation has to surrender to them. The focus becomes self rather than God.

In the end fear becomes the solitary agreement that a negative confession might lead them to their undoing. So they are forever watching what they say lest the power in their tongues brings them to their own destruction.

God has made it clear HE WILL NOT SHARE HIS GLORY WITH ANOTHER.

He stands unique and alone as the ONE TRUE GOD. He will have no rivals, no competition. Kingdoms may come and go, but his will stand forever. Men will live and die but he cannot. Men can boast of their achievements but God alone brings all his plans to success. A life is but for a moment But God alone is immortal and eternal. Men may place their faith in themselves but the arm of the flesh will fail them.

Humility is the enemy of such teachers. The stark reminder that our faith must forever rest in Gods will. It is not in the heavy heights we find God but on our knees in humility and the realization that we cannot, but he can. The stark reality not my will be done but his.

James 4: 10 humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up

It does not say lift yourself up!!!!

Here is an interesting quote from another article that I had to quote from. I cannot underestimate the dangers of this philosophy. It’s well worth reading the whole article to capture what the writer sharing.

“Faith in Doctrines of Demons (1 Timothy 4:1-5) leads to Fear and Death!
Guilt is generally brought about by the tension generated when one was positively confessing but getting no results. According to the Word-Faith position, no results equals lack of faith or open sin in one’s life. This can, and usually does, cause excessive introspection and a tremendous guilt feelings. Sometimes the guilt is real and needs to be dealt with, but often there is no reason for the feelings. Whatever the person was positively confessing was not in God’s plan and He is not going to bring it about.

Fear comes from two areas. First is the obsessive compulsion to be positive in every word. Even using phrases such as “I’m just dying to do that” or “that joke just tickled me to death,” release satanic powers, say the Word-Faith teachers (The Tongue – A Creative Force, p. 90-92). People become afraid that they are going to slip up, utter a negative word, and give a place to Satan. Secondly, fear is a corollary to the guilt mentioned above. Fear and guilt usually work in a downward spiral. One feels guilty because of supposed lack of faith, then afraid because the confession is not “working.” Then there is more guilt, then more fear, and so on down into further despair. This cycle can be extremely spiritually and physically debilitating. The writer is absolutely correct in his observation.

One more recent worshiper of the faith teachings had this to say :

God had become a man,and ceases to be God. Jesus was a man,and the Bible says that God became a man and ceases to become God, for He,who is God left His powers and set aside His status and Being as God. Jesus was 100% human.

The ramification is that if God ceased to be God then he is no longer God. Gods immutability is called into question. Yet at the same time the Word of faith teaches exalt themselves as gods, elevating man whilst denigrating God. They blur the distinction between the two. However history has always shown that men who come to proclaim their own deity begin to come under the judgement of God. Pharaoh and even the emperor of Rome were often smitten with such delusions and we know how they ended up.

When men place their faith in their faith rather than in the God of their faith they are destined to fail. Man can no more save himself by their confessions than raise the titanic in its original condition. It’s not a matter of not seeing the truth but their pride stops them wanting to see the truth.

Some have tried to take this teaching to its obvious conclusion and suffered humiliation and defeat. Nor was it a lack of faith in their part. It was only where they tried to place their faith that was the problem. Their stubbornness and unwillingness to see that the fruit was rotten led to countless sufferings and death.

The name of DR HOBART FREEMAN will live on in infamy. He was a Word of Faith teacher & pastor of Faith Assembly – over 90 people died in his church following his teaching and then Hobart died due to a medically treatable disease.

Many of those who came out of this experience have been emotionally traumatized..

THE EVENTUAL REALIZATION THAT WHAT THEY CONFESS THEY DON’T POSSESS!!!

We have seen enough evidence to conclude that the Word-Faith message is a dangerous soul-destroying heresy that simply does not work. It is a body of presumptuous teachings that lacks the authority of the Word of God. It is a system of thinking that has been generated by a group of men drawing from each others teachings with an amalgamation of Christian theology, mysticism and Gnosticism bound together by one of the most fanciful methods of Scripture interpretation ever devised. All of this is buttressed by a mutual admiration society among the most popular of the Word-Faith teachers that admonishes critics to “touch not the Lord’s anointed,” often under dire threats of divine displeasure.

The Watchman Ministry has coined this heresy very well, because it is SOUL DESTROYING.
