Why Muslims are leaving Islam ?
BY : Nuradiin Jimaleh / Atlanta GA. U.S.A

Why New Muslims are leaving Islam in millions? which is unprecedented in the Islamic History . The reason is most of these New converts to Islam are ignorant about the true face of islam prior to their convert , truely they are victims of SugarCoated Islam. From my observation majority of ex-muslims either become Atheists/Agnostics/FreeThinkers or become Christians and even a few of them embraces Hinduism and Buddhism

Prof ILyas Ba Yunus is a muslim researcher who lives in the U.S he found out 75% of New Muslims are leaving Islam in a few years.

(A Research by Prof. Ilyas Ba Yunus)
How can Islam be the fastest growing religion in the world while it is losing millions of its members ? Can the Muslims and those “Useful Idiot” Western Magazines such as CNN, USA Today prove statistically that Islam is fastest growing religion based on conversions ?

Most of us know people who are just waiting to be SAVED from Islam, but they are still so afraid of it. I know people whose whole lives are destroyed by Islam and they know it, but they can’t come face to face with it beacuse they are afraid. It’s really a very difficult thing to release yourself from all the fear and terror of Islam. It is a cult. It’s not an easy thing to do. People need support, they need groups. They need to feel that they are not alone. Here are some of the recent News about Muslims leave Islam in droves and embrace other religions and ideologies which are compatible with Golden rule, Humanity

2 million ethnic Muslims in Russia leave islam:

in every year 6 million African muslims convert to Christianity or Atheisam .
Shiekh Ahmed Katani : “In every hour, 667 Muslims convert to Christianity. Everyday, 16,000 Muslims convert to Christianity. Ever year, 6 million Muslims convert to Christianity. These numbers are very large indeed”.
For English Translation :

This is just a quck introduction  to this mans life.

We have decided to look at Yusuf’s testimony which is freely available across the internet.  We will look at how his background and how he became a Moslem.

This is how his testimony starts

My name is Yusuf Estes now, but in years past my friends
used to call me Skip. I have preached Christianity and worked in the
entertainment and music industry since I was a boy in the 1950’s. My father and
I have established music stores, TV and radio programs and outdoor
entertainment for fun (and profit). I was a music minister and even used a pony
ride and entertained the children as “Skippy the Clown.”

Yusuf Estes claims he was once a Christian who converted to Islam.  In the process he brought his entire family
with him.  His testimony as to how this happens is readily available across the internet.  I have done a more thorough look at his testimony on my BOX site.  Either follow the link or go across to the box link on my right and scroll until you find the name.

Yusuf was originally part of a denomination called the Christ’s Disciples which appears to be a very liberal type of church, with a number of ecumenical links to many churches including the Roman Catholic Church.

Many of the questions which Yusuf was asking went unanswered.  He was a successful business man who owned a
music enterprise.  But wealth never brought the peace or the answers he longed for.  It is clear from his testimony that he knew little of the real Jesus of the scriptures.  Like many today having a form of godliness but denying the power.
As many of his videos testify he knows little of the truth and is often caught out by true Bible believing Christians. The part that he once played as skippy the clown he now recreates before his fellow moslems.  However as Christians we need to look beyond this to a man who was not only decieved by a Moslem that he welcomes into his house.  But has gone on to decieve others.  When the blind follow the blind both will fall into the ditch.

In once sense it was the failure of the Church he was involved with to answer his many questions.  Although I suspect it might not have mattered.  Yusuf was looking and had Islam  not attracted his attention he would most certainly have found something else on the horizon.

The very fact he was looking makes it clear he had not found the fountain of life.  The living bread which would have satisfied his need.    His goal was wealth fame and glitter.  Hardly Christian’s virtues.  His preoccupation therefore was never Jesus but wealth and recognition.  The cold reality is that wealth and fame do not always bring genuine peace and fulfilment.

There are churches full of people who follow either a denomination, or a charismatic pastor or leader that catches their attention.  Just because they can nod their heads at the right time, they are welcomes with open arms.  But sadly no transformation, no regeneration or repentance has ever taken place.  Most tragic of all no conversion.   Here was Yusuf predicament.  He was brought up in the church, His family was in the church, his roots were in the church.  But the roots never went down into the right soil.  It cannot say how true his testimony is.  Personnaly I have questions as to how truthfull he is on this matter.  But nevertheless I have take it as face value and disected it with the word of God.  Yusuf as his videos have shown is not above twisting scripture to his own advantage.  It might impress other Moslems but it only shows how far he was from the kingdom of God to start with.

Take time to check out my box site for a far more detail study of this mans life.

UC Ministries: Well it nice to see someone who is on the Christian TV network that has dared to come out of his corner and name names and speak the truth.  Good for Van Impe for what he did.  It has long been my belief that just before the rapture there would be what I call the “Great Betrayal”  Where those who once professed Orthodoxy will suddenly abandon all pretense and begin to follow another gospel.  This will not be a subtle departure but an open declaration and purpose to follow another GOSPEL.   Do not be surprised as to how many will open their doors to these heresies.  It will also be interesting as to who will stand and who will apostate.

Recently I have been doing quite a bit of witnessing to Moslems  on a Face Book site where Christians and Moslems can debate.   I am shocked at what I have come across.  Not only the absolute wickedness, abusive language, and low morals of Moslems.  Some of which seem to be more interested in what was between their legs than what was between their ears.  I offer no pun here.  Some of these Moslems I was not totally sure If I was talking to demons or actual people.  Such was the language and  abusiveness  of their nature, especially towards Christian women.  I have to admit it is only on occasions where I could say I was in the presence of  evil.  But none of those times has ever come close to what I have witness recently.  I am therefore forced to conclude that Islam was indeed manufactured by satan to counter the spread of Christianity.  There can be NO compromise or dialogue with practicing Moslems.  It is a very Naive Christian who believes they can welcome a Moslem as a friend.   I know some nice people who have tried.

Here is the article on this subject:

A Christian ministry’s decision to expose as “false  teachers” several celebrity ministers it believes are corrupting biblical  teachings has prompted a rift, with Jack Van Impe Ministries dropping plans to  work in the future with Trinity Broadcasting Network, where it has broadcast  for more than two decades.

“I Will Not Be Silenced! I will not allow anyone to tell me what I  can and cannot preach,” Van Impe said in a statement when TBN would not  allow his program to air.

When I see heretical teaching leading to apostasy, I will speak  out,” he said. “The Bible says ‘All scripture is given by inspiration  of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for  instruction in righteousness:’ (II Timothy 3:16). The Apostle Paul also gives  instructions in Titus 1:9-11, 13 ‘Holding fast the faithful word as he hath  been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to  convince the gainsayers. For there are many unruly and vain talkers and  deceivers … Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching  things which they ought not, for filthy lucre’s sake…Wherefore rebuke them  sharply, that they may be sound in the faith.‘”

Van Impe said he immediately called his  media agents and told them, “I no longer wanted to air my program on  Trinity Broadcasting Network; we will take the tremendous amount of money that  we were spending there to obtain new stations that will allow us to continue to  reach every square mile of America with the truths of the Bible without this  network.”

The dispute arose over the issue  of advocating for “Chrislam”  and other efforts that are designed to find “common ground” between  Christians and Muslims. TBN declined to air one of Van Impe’s programs that  contained sharp criticisms of leaders such as Rick Warren of “The Purpose  Driven Life” fame and Robert Schuller.

In a statement from Van Impe Ministries  today, Executive Director Ken Vancil said his organization rejected an effort
by TBN to reinstate the programming and would work to develop alternative  broadcast outlets where they were needed.

“We would not be able to minister  effectively if we had to look over our shoulder wondering if a program was  going to be censored because of mentioning a name,” Vancil said.  “While there is hurt over this incident, we hold no animosity towards TBN.  Dr. Van Impe has often expressed his appreciation to Paul and Jan (Crouch, of  TBN) and all that they have  accomplished.”

But he confirmed that Paul Crouch Sr.  “cautioned” him as recently as Monday “regarding Dr. Van Impe’s  naming of names and publicly rebuking ministers and their teachings.” The dispute erupted just last week,  when Van Impe’s ministry planned to air sharp criticism of Christians who say  they want to “reach out” by incorporating beliefs or practices of  Islam into their Christian organizations.

The program specifically mentioned  Warren and Schuller, prompting TBN to prevent the broadcast. “We received a call from Matt  Crouch of TBN informing us that they would not run that program. … The reason  he gave was that we specifically mentioned Rick Warren and Robert Schuller and  that it is TBN’s policy that broadcasters are not allowed to rebuke other
ministries,” Van Impe said. “This is a rather hypocritical  statement in light of the fact that they have never said anything in the past  when we have rebuked others such as Bishop Spong, Bishop Pike, and in the past  few months Harold Camping and Rob Bell,” he continued. “They also  stated that they would not run any future program where we offered our DVD  Reclaiming & Restoring Biblical Christianity as a premium for a donation to  our ministry. A DVD that exposes false teachers and the heresies that they  proclaim.”

TBN did not respond to WND’s request for  comment on the dispute.

Vancil said after TBN’s decision not to  air the program that there was no future between the two groups. “This was not an easy decision; we  have had a relationship with TBN for 23 years. … But at this point we feel it  is time to part ways,” he said. “We have been able to over the years  develop an independent network of broadcast stations all across America as well  as broadcasting on TBN and Daystar. Our media agents have worked diligently and  determined that we need to add 14 stations to be able to continue fully  covering every mile of America.

“Praise God I am pleased to  announce that negotiations have progressed in these 14 markets and that  contracts will be  presented to the Van Impes for approval in a matter of  days,” he said.

In  the program that was cut, which remains available on the Jack Van Impe  Ministries website, the ministry launches its campaign regarding  “apostate ministers.”

Van Impe explains that the Bible  prophesies a one-world government and a one-world religion during the end  times, and his concern focuses on the move among some Christian organizations  to adopt some Islamic thought and incorporate elements of Islam into their  worship.

“We’ve got too many of these  mush-mouth preachers. All they’re doing is two stories and a movie  review,” he said. But the Bible actually outlines that its messages also  are to “reprove and rebuke” Christians for failing to live for God. According to the broadcast,  “Chrislam is a term that may be used more often among apostate  churches.”

Such Islamic and evangelical Christian  leaders, the report explained, are working to find a way to promote  “common beliefs the two religions supposedly share.” Specifically cited were Warren and Schuller.

During  a subsequent broadcast, also available on the ministry’s website,
the advance of “Chrislam” thoughts and practices into Christian  churches was described as a “tsunami of compromise.” “This compromise is going to  permeate Christianity,” Van Impe said. “I’m calling for the old-time  religion to be restored.

God called me to preach. And I  will not stand down for any man, for any church, for any Christian  organization,” he said.

The report noted that there are some  Christian missionaries overseas who have “eliminated 91 verses in God’s  Holy Word because they wanted to please Islam and the Muslims.” Those references identify Jesus as the  Son of God. Other developments include moves by  some Christian churches to remove clear Christian emblems such as crosses.

He said what churches need today is  that “old time religion” and less “self-esteem  psycho-babble.”

Criticized on the program were  recommendations attributed to Warren that churches change music to a  contemporary rock style, eliminate hymnbooks and the choir, eliminate the  Sunday evening or Wednesday prayer services, remove the word “church”  and refer to it as a “campus,” and reduce the use of the words  “unsaved,” “lost,” “hell” and “heaven.”

Other ministries have voiced criticism  similar to Van Impe’s. Joe Schimmel, senior pastor of Blessed  Hope Chapel in Southern California and chief of the Good Fight Ministries, openly has questioned whether church leaders are
affirming Allah.

Schimmel, who is best known for  “They Sold Their Souls for Rock n Roll,” which exposes satanic  influences behind much of yesterday and today’s popular music and how it  negatively influences youth, suggested in a WND column, “Could it be that
we are witnessing the formation of the prophesied one-world religion under the  Antichrist? (Revelation 13:1-18) ”

He cited Brian McLaren of the emerging church movement, who planned for an  Islamic Ramadan celebration. And he mentioned Warren’s agreement to address the  Islamic Society of North America, which “the Department of Justice
categorized two years ago as a co-conspirator in financing a foreign terrorist  group!”

Another church leader, Tony Campolo, “a proponent of the  so-called ‘evangelical left’ claimed that ‘even if’ Muslims ‘don’t convert,  they are God’s people,'” Schimmel wrote.

“Even more chilling is the fact  that over 300 prominent Christian leaders signed a letter issued by the Yale  Center for Faith and Culture claiming that world peace is dependent on Muslims  and Christians recognizing ‘Allah’ and ‘Yahweh’ as the same God. This letter,  titled ‘Loving God and Neighbor Together,’ was written in response to a signed  document by 138 Muslim leaders titled ‘A Common Word Between Us and You.’  McLaren, Warren, Robert Schuller and Bill Hybels were just several of the  signatories to this outright betrayal of Christ!” he said. TBN previously had a conflict over its intolerance for  criticism of Islam. It was in 2006 when Hal Lindsey, WND columnist and one of the world’s most
popular non-fiction authors, clashed with the network because TBN wanted him to  soften his views on Muslims. Lindsey refused.

This was posted on my FB.  It was intended as a Joke; a bit of sarcasm if you like; however there are some interesting points here.  TBN as a channel has been at the forefront of a lot of strange doctrines never mind strange teachers.

The Trinity Broadcasting Network is it Biblical Right?    by Michael Houke

Founders and co-leaders Paul and Jan Crouch
You mean the Trinity Broadcasting Network? Nah! You’re kidding me right? They
stopped dabbling in that doctrinal doo doo years ago. They now have Holy Ghost
machine guns to mow down their distracters. Here is a list of what makes them
so wonderfully and cheerfully made Christians.

1. They are little gods, little “g”.

2. They have water fights with Jesus. (In heaven of course).

3. They raise the dead from their caskets.

4. They talk to the dead and pray with them at their gravesites.

5. They no longer sin.

6. They have nine (9) count them nine God heads in their trinity. (We have only

7. They have a Rolls Royce Kind of Faith! (What do we have a Neon)?

8. They have holy water from a river in Russia. (Do You)?

9. They kick ladies in their heads.

10. They laugh their tails off in the name of Jesus.

11. They prophesize in the name of Jesus.

12. They need only be 33% accurate to be a prophet of God. (They set their own

13. They know that Jesus suffered in Hell! He got his tail kicked!

14. They know that God is the biggest loser in the Bible.

15. They heal the sick and wounded by a simple touch.

But wait there’s more!!

16. They talk money into their wallets.

17. They too cast out demons! Just Like Jesus!

18. They get special revelations from God all the time.

19. They roar like Lions for Jesus

20. They do the chicken Walk for Jesus.

21. They allow animals to be saved! (Squirrels too)

22. They endorse the Lovely Masonic Lodge.

23. They rub elbows with the fun guys from the Shriners!

24. They get down on Azuza Street with the best of them.

25. They do away with Heresy hunters. Be Gone They say!

26. They preach while lying on their backs. (Do we? And without a Bible! Top

27. They have a special anointing from God.

28. They have preachers riding in first class and coach!

29. They know Jesus was handling big money!! (ask any of them)

30. Jesus and the Apostles stayed at the finest establishments while on tour.
(And so do they)

31. Jesus was handling big money. (And so do they)

32. Jesus wore designer robes. (And so do they)

33. The Apostles spoke in supernatural tongues. (And so do they)

34. Jesus cast out Demons. (And so do they)

35. They can get a whole congregation speaking in tongues all at once. (Wow
even Jesus and the Apostles couldn’t do that)

36. And last but not least, they have done away with the trinity. They didn’t
need it after all.

Now exactly why do they call it the Trinity Broadcasting Network?

Well just how good is all that. If only the rest of us could receive their
special anointing!! Why, we too could be on the Trinity Broadcasting Network
Proclaiming the Doctrine of Demons just like they do!! Can you see what we are
missing? We are letting our best life now slip right out of our hands, right
before our very own eyes. But it is never too late. Get some of that Russian
river water from Peter Popoff and drink it daily. Miracles and all the promises
of the Bible will come your way. Or get some trinklets from Marilyn Hickey they
will help you get the anointing and then you can talk money into your wallet. I
hear Oral Roberts is still offering prayer hankies. There is much more you can
do, just watch the show and see for yourself.

Have a blessed life now!!

Michael Houke

“The parade of guests who are featured on Paul and Jan Crouch’s TBN programming runs the gamut from the serious, sound Christian thinkers and ministers to the superficial, silly, and outright heretical. How many viewers can tell the difference? How many care to try? Spiritual gullibility is widespread throughout out culture, of course, but the Word-Faith movement is part of the problem, not part of the solution(“The Word-Faith Controversy” by Robert M. Bowman Jr.)

Quotes Who said this?      answer at the end.

He [God] doesn’t even draw a distinction between Himself and us. You know what else that’s settled, then, tonight? This hue and cry and controversy that has been spawned by the Devil to try and bring dissension within the body of Christ that we are gods. I am a little god! I have His name. I’m one with Him.  I’m in covenant relation. I am a little god! Critics, be gone! (Praise The Lord, July 7, 1986)

2 Cor 11: 13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ…

Ecumenicalism may be good for buisness but it is not good for the gospel !

“On October 17 [1989], Paul and Jan Crouch welcomed three Catholics to their Praise the Lord program: two
priests and a woman lay leader. Paul displayed his usual naïveté and incredible ignorance of theology by smoothing over any differences between Protestants and Catholics as ‘simply matters of semantics.’ In his eager embrace of Transubstantiation, a heresy so great that thousands died at the stake rather than accept it, he declared: ‘Well, we [Protestants] believe the same thing. So you see one of these things that has divided us all of these years [Transubstantiation] shouldn’t have divided us all along because we were really meaning the same thing but just saying it a little differently. … I [am] eradicating the word Protestant even out of my vocabulary. … I’m not protesting anything anymore … it is … time for Catholics and non-Catholics to come together as one in the Spirit and one in the Lord.’ But Catholics have a different gospel of salvation by works and ritual through the essential mediation of that Church.”

This is dated news, but it is timely and relevant, all the same. The charismatic movement and its experience- and emotion-based ecumenicism is one of the adhesives of end-times apostasy. Another is Contemporary Christian Music. It is a unifying factor that is not founded on sound doctrine. One of the great sins and errors of modern evangelicalism is its silence in the face of such things. How many influential evangelicals have reproved Paul Crouch and TBN publicly? Charles Swindoll is typical. He says that though he disagrees with charismatic theology, he doesn’t “shoot great volleys of theological artillery” at them (Grace Awakening, p. 188). This is inaccurate and a silly statement. Reproving sin and heresy is not “shooting” people. It is an act of love for God and His truth and it is an act of compassion toward those who are being led astray. We are commanded to “earnestly contend for the faith once delivered to the saints” (Jude 3). Spiritual pacifism and reproving sin and error in generalities might broaden your ministry and support base, but it won’t get the job done for full-orbed truth in this dark world

There can be NO doubt that TBN and its hosts Paul and Jan Crouch have served the cause of promoting ecumenicalism and false teaching for longer than most TV channels.  The fact that they may occasionaly have the odd sound speaking does not outway the vast majority of the false that appear on their TV stations.

Eph 4: 14 That we [henceforth] be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, [and] cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

TBN is nothing more than a tree swaying in the wind.  Being swayed in whatever direction the wind is blowing.  Swayed by whatever theological and emotional presentation that passes.  Having no solid foundation and no anchor to keep them sound, and in the end they will grasp whatever is floating passed them.   This is not the basic for eternity.

Answer to the quote is : Paul Crouch.

Many have sunk their entire savings into the hope that today will be the day they are raptured.  However anyone with a measure of common sense would have reach out to their nearest Bible and read what it said.

Mat 25:13   Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Yet we are somehow to believe contrary to what Jesus had to say, mere man can work it out to the very day and hour. History tells us that over the centuries religious zealots have made predictions usually at the end of millenniums, during great catastrophes and sometimes based upon pure speculation.  While many have become wealthy speculating dates, others have lost their wealth supporting such quacks.

Such tails are not new.  The Watchtower Society has made many predictions over the years, only to see those dates come and go.  Usually their numbers fall when dates fail, however they found that by setting new dates seems to rally people to their cause.  It seems we either have a short memory or we don’t learn from the past. Harold Camping is not the first and he will certainly not be the last.

The daily mail carried this article on one family whose parent believed that today will be the day.

This pictured is not being used to mock this family but to warn others.

In a last ditch effort to spread the word before the Armageddon that they believe will happen today at 6pm local time wherever you live, Robert and Abby took their children to a New York street fair. Speaking to the New York Times, 16-year-old Grace Haddad said: ‘My mom has told me directly that I’m not going to get into heaven. At first it was really upsetting, but it’s what she honestly believes.’ But while the followers of radical evangelist Harold Camping prepare to meet their maker, no rapture reports were heard from Christmas Island in Kiribati – where the earthquake was set to hit first at 6pm local time

In Auckland, New Zealand, one of the first major cities to reach 6pm, no major incidents were reported. Beijing in China also appeared to have escaped unscathed. Two earthquakes of magnitudes over 2.5 were reported shortly after 6pm local time (midnight Eastern Time) hit Christmas Island. The U.S. Geological Survey says a 4.8 magnitude earthquake hit the Solomon Islands region and a 3.1 in the Hawaii area between 00:30am and 00:45am Eastern Time. But before you start preparing for the Armageddon, there are usually 30 to 40 earthquakes measuring more than 2.5 every day worldwide.

A fake Twitter account purporting to be run by the BBC World Service was making statements about what was happening. One post jokingly said: ‘President of Kiribati, Mr Anote Tong, shall address media shortly regarding “unprecedented” events on Christmas Island.’ Auckland, New Zealand, the first major city to experience the rapture and earthquake at 6pm local time (2am Eastern Time) – reported business as usual today. New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg took a more relaxed attitude on Friday to impending Armageddon – joking that Doomsday will result in him suspending alternate side parking indefinitely.

According to Camping’s followers – who claim he calculated the date and time of ‘The Rapture’ by adding up numbers in the Bible – tomorrow will see the start of a six month process where the chosen will ascend into heaven.  Camping, 89, is the leader of Family Radio, an independent ministry which spreads its word via a network on 66 radio stations and online broadcasts. He has previously written a book called ‘1994?’, in which he wrongly predicted the end of the world in that year, and was later forced to apologise for a mathematical error.

Despite the dire warnings, Mayor Bloomberg listed a number of reasons why tomorrow can’t be the end of the world. Speaking on his weekly radio show he said: ‘The world cannot end tomorrow. You know why. ‘It can’t end at least until the Knicks win a championship again. We’ve got a long time to go.’ He continued: ‘If the world ends tomorrow I don’t think you have to worry about returning library books, parking tickets.’ But despite the doom and gloom, the Mayor found a possible upside to the Earth’s destruction.

He added: ‘Think about it. If the world were to end tomorrow it would fix our traffic problems.’ The Rapture is supposedly the time when God’s chosen people ascend to heaven and the rest are left behind to face apocalyptic scenes of earthquakes and fire. A period of ‘trial’ on earth for non-believers is forecast to follow and could last six months, but by October 21 all those who have not been saved will be dead, goes the prophecy.

The concept of Judgment Day is a long-standing one, but the idea of the Rapture is more modern, having first appeared in Christian teaching in the 19th century. However, this predicted date is entirely the work of Camping and his followers, who have spent decades studying the bible for coded messages. So certain is he of his revised date, following on from his 1994 embarrassment, that he and his followers have spent millions of dollars on billboards across America that have been warning for weeks: ‘Judgment Day is coming May 21st, 2011 – The Bible guarantees it!’

Most Christians barely pay the ‘prophecy’ a second thought but Camping, from Oakland, California, stands by his latest Doomsday warning. ‘We know without any shadow of a doubt it is going to happen,’ said Camping.

‘There’s going to be a huge earthquake that’s going to make the big earthquake in Japan seem like a Sunday School picnic. ‘Camping, a civil engineer who once ran his own construction business, plans to spend the day with his wife in Alameda, in northern California, and watch doomsday unfold on television.  ‘I’ll probably try to be very near a TV or a radio or something,’ he said. ‘I’ll be interested in what’s happening on the other side of the world as this begins. ‘His prediction has been dismissed as ‘flat-out wrong’ by one leading Christian author, who has accused Camping of abusing the current climate of fear rendered by natural disasters to make money.

‘Nobody knows the exact day when these things are going to happen,’ Steve Wohlberg, who has written more than two dozen books about the End of Days, told the New York Daily News. ‘They’re looking at all of these disasters and everything that’s going on in the planet, and this is creating a climate of deep interest in Biblical prophecy. ‘In my mind, Harold Camping has quite an account to render with God when judgment day comes.’

However, just in case the prediction is right, some Americans are making the most of their time left with ‘Rapture Parties’ across the country, some serious, some not. In Fayetteville, North Carolina, the American Humanist Association is organizing a two-day anti-Rapture extravaganza. There will be a party on Saturday and a concert on Sunday – with the tongue in cheek proviso that Sunday’s fun could be cancelled due to a natural catastrophe of some sort. Camping’s prediction has been publicised in almost every country, said Chris McCann, who works with one of the groups spreading the message, eBible Fellowship. McCann plans to spend Saturday with his family, reading the Bible and praying. His fellowship met for the last time on Monday.

‘We had a final lunch and everyone said goodbye,’ he said. ‘We don’t actually know who’s saved and who isn’t, but we won’t gather as a fellowship again.’ The publicity has had some effect outside North America. In Vietnam, a crowd of around 5,000 members of the Hmong ethnic minority gathered near the border with Laos to await the biblical event, but they were soon dispersed by the government. However, the Rapture – the belief that Christ will bring the faithful into paradise prior to a period of tribulation on earth that precedes the end of time – is a divisive belief even among Christians. Most don’t believe in it, and some are actively against it because they feel it makes them look foolish. ‘People like this man are over-literalising certain passages that are not meant to be taken in such a strictly literal sense and they’re trying to build strict chronologies by piecing together different Bible verses that were never intended to be interpreted in such a fashion,’ said Dr. Don Howell, professor of New Testament at Columbia International University.

In an attempt to talk to Camping on his own literal terms, Dr Howell also points to Matthew 24, which says no one but the Father knows when the end will come, not even Jesus or the angels. The Rapture is often mocked by on-believers in popular culture – the comic strip ‘Doonesbury’ has tackled the subject – while a Facebook page called ‘Post Rapture Looting’ has won huge support. More than 175,000 people have joined the group, leaving comments such as: ‘When everyone is gone and God’s not looking, we need to pick up some sweet stereo equipment and maybe some new furniture for the mansions we’re going to squat in.’ Jerry Jenkins, co-author with Tim LaHaye of the ‘Left Behind’ series of apocalyptic novels that have sold millions of copies worldwide, is among those who has a problem with the prediction. ‘As a believer, I’m already a kook compared to most people, so for someone to choose a date and get everyone excited about a certain time, my problem is it makes us look worse,’ said Jenkins, 61. But the very industry in which Jenkins’ books are aimed and sold are part of the problem according to Barbara Rossing, professor of the New Testament at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. She describes a huge apocalyptic ‘prophecy industry’ that includes video games, board games and books, and says: ‘It is very appealing to people.

Indeed, according to its tax returns Family Radio, a non-profit organisation, has raised more than $100m over the last seven years. It owns 66 radio stations worldwide  and a recent spike in activity has seen it lavish millions on its international billboard advertising campaign. When asked what the church was going to do with the money when the world ended, Camping told Contra Costa Times; ‘When Judgment Day comes, if someone is a billionaire, how will they take their money with them?  ‘If we have any money left, and we will because we have to pay bills up to the very end… it will all be destroyed because the world will be in a day of judgment.

‘The money is not important at all. It’s a vehicle to spread the judgment and a vehicle of the Lord.’ But as the true believers prepare for what they hope will be their last day on earth, many atheists are having fun with the anticlimax they anticipate. In Tacoma, Washington, atheists have organized a party for Saturday night under the banner ‘countdown to backpedaling’, on the assumption that Camping and Family Radio will change their story if Judgment Day does not come. At least 100 people are expected at the party, said Sam Mulvey, 33, an organizer of the event and the producer of a weekly atheist radio show in Tacoma.’If the world still exists the next day, Family Radio is going to have to say something and most of the time they backpedal, and that’s what we’re counting down to,’ he said. Other atheists have taken a more practical approach to the ‘rapture’ by turning the ‘prophecy industry’ on itself to make money. In New Hampshire, Bart Centre started his company Eternal Earth-bound Pets in 2009.

He offers rapture believers an insurance plan for those pets that won’t join them in heaven: 10-year pet care contracts, with Centre and his network of fellow non-believers taking responsibility for the animals after the Rapture. The fee – payable in advance, of course – was originally $110, but has risen to $135 since Camping’s prediction. He has 258 clients. But for some people the rapture is no laughing matter. In Harrison, New Jersey, reformed raver John Ramsey, 25, has given up his job to spread the word with his wife, Marcia Paladines.  Marcia, featured in the video below, is pregnant. Her due date is May 27.  ‘God is in control. I have prayed for mercy on my baby,’ a crying Paladines told The Huffington Post. ‘But I don’t know what’s going to happen. If I’m here May 21, then I will suffer the consequences of the wrath of God. I know like anybody else I’ll deserve it because none of us are perfect.”

Camping schedule

Personally I can’t help believing that Camping is being used wittingly or even unwittingly to destroy people belief in the rapture, but also to destroy people belief in the Bible.  It has long been my contention that before the literal rapture of the church the belief in the rapture will be discredited.  When the rapture happens the world will not know or care.  Either because the world will be preoccupied with other matters or the number of rapture believers will be so small, and few will notice their departure.  We can be certain that when the true rapture takes place, there will be no bill boards, adverts, or people setting dates.

Our hearts and thoughts should go out to Camping’s followers who are about to experience some major disappointment and embracement.  This is one situation that has been predicted with a good measure of success.   It’s sad and I hope that there will be someone that can get along side some of these people.  I suspect however many will leave, but the main hardliners will stay with Camping to follow the next load of dates.  Those who leave will need our love and sympathy.

To understand this subject we have to look at the man who made it popular.  His name is Derek Prince.  British born but like so many he found wealth and fame in America.  He is probably best known for what was to become popularly know as the Shepherding Movement.

As Derek and Lydia travelled in ministry in the United States, they became acquainted with many of the other travelling teachers who were responding to the new hunger for understanding of the Bible. In Florida in 1969, DEREK PRINCE, BOB MUMFORD, CHARLES SIMPSON AND DON BASHAM met together to pray about a serious situation in the leadership of a conference where they were speakers. Derek says, “When we stood up from prayer we all realised that God had joined us together in a special way for a special purpose. Subsequently, we made a commitment to cover one another with prayer, to submit our personal lives to one another’s scrutiny and to confer together before making any major personal decisions. The four teachers, later joined by Ern Baxter, became the leaders of the discipleship movement, centred primarily in the United States. The teaching magazine New Wine published their articles and reached many Christians throughout the world

These men also become known as the Lauderdale Five.  However it did not take long before this shepherding movement went seriously astray as abuses surfaced.  While Derek washed his hands and walked, away little was done to restore or even to rebuild a proper perspective.  The damage was done and like Pontus Pilate he washed his hands and left countless hundreds whose lives were emotionally and spiritually damaged to fend for themselves.

Derek Prince has devoted every gift God has given him to the clear, practical exposition of the Bible. These are some of the biblical truths he has recovered for this generation:

  • Release from curses
  • The place of Israel in God’s plan
  • Deliverance from demons
  • The power of proclamation

It is my statement that Derek instead of being an influence for good was severally influenced by heretical teachers.  He then presented these heresies as rediscovered “biblical “truths.   It cannot be understated just how much damaged this one man has done to the Body of Christ.  Long after Kenneth Hagin and the Word Of Faith teachings were exposed, Princes teachings have continued to be embraced by many.

The most damaging heresy was his book “CURSES AND BLESSING”.

He had a earlier book called “Does Your Tongue Need Healing

Those who gave an opinion on this book had this to say.  It will show just how close Prince’s teaching was to Kenneth Hagin Heretical teachings

Blessing and curses are in the mouth of the tongue. Be careful what you say to others and what you speak against yourself. For it could end in a self-fulfilled prophecy, which is all good when what you are speaking is positive…however there are two sides to each coin.

This teaching makes man responsible through his confession for his own salvation.  It appeals to the ego because we become what we want to be.  God becomes the slave to our tongue.  Confess sickness and the power of the tongue will produce it in your life.  Confess health wealth and prosperity and the tongue will produce that as well.  The fact is was nothing more than superstitious nonsense.  Where scriptures were taken out of context, daisy chained together and made to say something which was never intimated. The belief is that what we confessed we will possessed, sadly there is numerous gravestones out there of people who tried to confess their healings and died.  They trusted in themselves or in this case their tongues and their positive confessions and suffered the consequences.

Jer 17: 5Thus saith the LORD; Cursed [be] the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.”

Those who place their trust in their confession are placing their faith in the arm of the flesh.

Allot of what was contained in the book CURSES AND BLESSINGS incorporated Hagins ideas on confessing. In fact he blamed an incident concerning his wife’s legs on an idle confession his wife made when she was a teen.  Apparently she did not like the way her legs were. Years later she developed problems in her legs.  Otherwise her negative confession became a curse.  As we have seen we are not to trust the arm of the flesh.  Sadly Prince incorporated this junk into his book.

Derek Prince also incorporated the idea that curses can be carried on through several generations.  Otherwise if your great great grandfather was for example a freemason then the curse would be carried on through those generations.  Now the subtle part is that most of this teaching is predominantly aimed at Christians.  So as a Christian if you have any health problems it would be seen that this curse has been handed down to you.  Since Derek Princes death there has been countless new books published by others based on his teachings. Normally deliverance from this curse would require someone trained in deliverance ministry to discern and break this curse.

Now there are some major problems with this teaching. If that curse can still exists in a Christians life after they are saved, then what can a deliverance minister possible do to remove a curse which even the death of Jesus could not remove?  Plus how can a Christian be blessed in heavenly places and still be cursed by God at the same time. If cursed and God holds something against the believer how can he possibly be encouraged to draw near to the throne of God

If there is this need for someone trained to come alongside a person to break the curse.  This is nothing more than making a man the matrix between God and man.  Thus Jesus is replaced exactly in the same way as the Roman Catholics do at the mass.  Suddenly a man and not Jesus is able to break what Jesus could not.  Suddenly we have an extra biblical priest who can make peace between God and man.

Eze 18:2 What mean ye, that ye use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge?

There are even advocates of this generational teachings that have tried to use this verse as part of their teachings; however this chapter actually disproves their teachings.

Eze 18:19-20 Yet say ye, Why? doth not the son bear the iniquity of the father? When the son hath done that which is lawful and right, [and] hath kept all my statutes, and hath done them, he shall surely live. The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The SON SHALL NOT BEAR THE INIQUITY OF THE FATHER, NEITHER SHALL THE FATHER BEAR THE INIQUITY OF THE SON: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

Lets just repeat this part of the verse “The SON SHALL NOT BEAR THE INIQUITY OF THE FATHER, NEITHER SHALL THE FATHER BEAR THE INIQUITY OF THE SON”.  How clear can you get itThis means the generational curse is debunked.

We all bare the curse of Adams fall and we all have a sin nature and we have all fallen short of Gods righteousness.  Now the only way to make peace with God was through the death of Jesus Christ.  NO other way is permissible.  Now you would have thought that Derek Prince would have known this.

The most recent damage that Derek Prince legacy has left the church is the Zionist movement.  The thought behind this is that the church has a debt which we need to pay back to the Jewish people.

Derek Princes although now dead, his teachings are carried on by others.  This is what they have to say from their web site partly quoting Derek Prince:

We owe the Jewish people an enormous debt. Without them, the church would have no patriarchs, no prophets, no apostles, no Bible and no Saviour. My most precious possession in life is my Bible, and I owe it to the Jewish people.

Through his booklet, Our Debt to Israel, and his spoken messages, Derek Prince has awakened Christians throughout the world to their responsibility to Israel and the Jewish people. His book, The Last Word on the Middle East, examines in detail prophecies currently being fulfilled and expounds Gods plan for the Middle East as the age draws to its close.

This has led in turn to the quirky idea that unless we bless Israel we are under some CURSE. Again we are led back to this generational curse philosophy.  Whereby we have added works to our faith.  Otherwise we must give something back to Israel like finance or support or God will look down in anger at the Believer.  This would again raise the spectre that Christ’s death was not sufficient. That somehow God’s anger is not totally satisfied and we have to go out and work in order to win his blessing. This is actually humanistic thinking. Nowhere does it say we owe Jews anything.  In fact there is only one person we owe a debt to and that is Jesus.  We don’t owe the messenger anything but we owe the one who sent the message.  Also present day Israel is not the Israel of the Bible. Present day Israel is a secular atheist nation with a strict section or Orthodox Judaism whose opinion of Jesus is obnoxious.  The legacy which Derek Prince has left the church is to elevate Jews onto a pedestal and many have come to bow down and worship at there alters. It should be emphasised that we should care, love and pray for the Jewish people.  But the debt has been paid.  Now where in the Bible does it teach the God will bless the ungodly?  If God will not bless the ungodly why would he expect us to?

Gen 12:3   And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

This is the verse they always hang onto, and yet if you read it correctly the blessing was only given to one man Abraham.  It was never a blessing which was carried onto to all his descendents.

When is our salvation depended on blessing those who reject Christ.  Now we are told :

Mat 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

But the blessing of God is not depended on blessing any minority ethnic group.

Derek Prince legacy

Now I can’t say if Prince was saved or not but his legacy still lives with us today in some form or another.  While the shepherding movement has suffered tremendous setbacks because of the abuse, its grandchild has to be the apostolic movement.  Who are trying to tie the church under so called apostles and prophets  or NAR New Apostolic Reformation which is headed by Peter Wagner’s.  Kenneth Hagin has since died but Hagins teachings continue through those who were his immediate disciples.  So too is Prince teaching on Curses and Blessings is still very much alive.  So is his concept that demons can possess the believer even if it is just in his flesh.  Today deliverance ministries have grown substantially.   NAR has become a rallying cry for every false teacher who wants the title of apostle or prophet.  Now I appreciate that many of these ideas existed well before Derek Prince, but without Derek I suspect there would be a few less heretical ideas floating around today.

I receive from the Creation Ministries International their Prayer letter.  This one just arrived the other day.  It contained an article by Dominic Statham on Peter Hitchens.  Who is the brother of the well known atheist Christopher Hitchens.

This is what Dominic writes concerning Peter.

As a Teenager Peter had come the  reject Christian beliefs with which he had been raised as a child- even to the point of publicly burning a Bible and joining the generation who were too cleaver to believe.  He embraced the faith of the faithless age, that science could explain everything we needed to know without reference to God.  So vehemently had he turned away from God that he was almost physically disgusted by those who believed.

Peter wrote that his views changed slowly, as he came to see the fruit of atheism.  Part of the realisation came when he worked as a journalist in Moscow, during the final years of the Soviet Union.  His depiction of this godless society was sobering.  He wrote of the riots that broke out when the vodka ration was cancelled.  One week; the bribes required to obtained anaesthetics at the dentist or antibiotics at the hospital; the frightening levels of divorce and abortion; the mistrust and surveillance; the unending official lies, manipulation and oppression; the mistrust; the squalor desperation and the harsh incivility.  Peter wrote how traffic stops dead in Moscow when the rain begins to fall, as every driver fetches wind screen wipers from their hiding places and quickly fits them to their holders.  Any wipers left in place when the car is parked are stolen as a matter of course.

Society without God.

Atheist, humanistic ideology of the state, he believed, had even affected the Russian language.  Peter spoke to a descendant of an exile, whose grandparents had fled Moscow in the days of Lenin.  Having been brought up to speak pure Russian in his American home- the elegant, literary language of his parents- he was shocked when he visited Russia to hear the coarse, ugly, slang infested and bureaucratic tongue that was now spoken , even by the educated professionals.

Peter also wrote of what he saw as the growing public discourtesy and incivility in Britain.  When he returned to London, after five years absence, he was shocked by the decline in people’s behaviour.  He commented

The rapid vanishing of Christianity from the public consciousness and life, as the last Christian generation ages and disappears, seems to me to be a major part of it.  I did not think I would have been so shocked by the squallier and rudeness of the 1990 Moscow.  If I had not come from a country where Christian forbearance was still well established.  If I had then been able to see London 2010, I would have been equally shocked.

In many respects, Peter’s book is warning to people, as to the kind of society they can expect if they continue to reject Christian beliefs.

Mat 5: 13-14 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

John 3: 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

Salt preserves and light exposes.

Yet we are told that men love the darkness and desire evil.  The natural inclination is always downwards.  The belief that if only they could dispense with a society that no longer believes in God, especially the Christian God and have nothing to do with it, that society will be a better society all round.  But the Bible makes it clear and Peter Hitchens experience agrees that a society that has rejected the idea of a God is a society that will quickly descend into godlessness, immorality and chaos.  But how will a world cope never mind a nation?  Islam predicts itself as the moral meter to society and yet its failure in rejecting the light and the salt means it too will also fail to achieve a morality.  Outwardly clothing women in back sheets but can never impose a morality within the human soul.  It is but a matter of time before that society will erupt in violence and anarchy.  The present uprising in the Middle East to overthrow corrupt government may just be a glimmer of the unrest.  Remembering that these corrupt governments are themselves Islamic.

Math 23: 75 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.

Conformity by legalism as we see in Islam will not work any more than it did with Communism.  For it is more than a mere belief in a god that can turn the tables, but a belief in the one true God.

Jer 17:9 The heart [is] deceitful above all [things], and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Pro 14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin [is] a reproach to any people.

As men pontificate and debate, rejecting the Bible and the God it speaks about, little do they realised they are nailing the last nail to their own coffin.  When God gives a nation over, he gives them over to their own devises.  It is almost as if to say, if this is what you want to sow then this is what you will reap.  God does not even need to send judgement upon a nation all he has to do is stand to one side and let that nation descend into its own dark miserable abyss.   It cannot be denied that those nations which have held to the Bible and have been influenced by a  Christian heritage may not have been perfect but they have achieved a high degree of  morality, governing  stability; national equality, abolished slavery; upheld the rights of the individual;  imposed just laws; exercised education to a high degree for both men and women.

Rom 1:21-22, 24 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified [him] not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools… Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:…

The fading influence of the light.

Modern history would seem to say that the light is fading and is setting slowly beyond the mountain.  Nature hates a vacuum and as the light fades darkness replaces it.  Mans wickedness is finding greater expression and exploring new depths.  World is slowly becoming colder as the warmth is replaced.  The church which once preserved is passing, being replaced by corporations who make merchandise of the gospel.  Who rob it of its sincerity,  its passion and  its power. We decry the pulpit pimps who prostitute the gospel for a dollar, but we don’t see how far the light has set.  At present we are looking at the ebbing sun and wonder.    For those who retain the light will become an even greater oddity, hated because they have the light of the son of God shinning through them, and rejected as strange oddities of a dying past.  I hope we have not arrived at that point in time, but I suspect we are close.  The plum line as to those of us who are Christ’s will be our loyalty to Christ and the truth which he has presented.  Everyone else will defend whatever seems good in their own imagination. Loyalty to Christ will be price just too high.  But eternity beckons.  Like a speed train we are all heading for that destination, and where we get off will depend on where we are seated.  Make no mistake about it.  We will either serve Christ or we will serve ourselves.  Those who serve themselves will serve the man of sin. Choices will be made sooner or later.  Standing true to Christ will become harder.  I hope and pray that you will be one of those who have settled the matter and you have chosen to stand with Christ.

It has been asked recently why so many evangelicals are drifting back into Catholicism.  In the main stream it is because there has been a fundamental rejection of the Bible and Ignorance about what it teaches.  Desperation toward what appears to satisfy mans own graving for experiences.  But greater still it would seem that despite the paedophile revelations of recent years.  Catholicism tries to give the impression that it has the moral stability to speak out on matters of faith, a stability that so very few other denomination appear to have.

But is this the truth?

There has been no doubt that the moral stability of the 21 century protestant Evangelicals has been rocked to its very core by revelation upon revelation of greed, adultery, plain deception, and multiple ministers who once pledged themselves to an orthodox faith.  Who for whatever reason when given the choice have simple preferred to abandon their orthodoxy for whatever passes ones way .  It can be no wonder that the world looks on and laughs at the churches predicament, and glee that there is nothing left but confusion.  When Christians try and stand up for truth we simply become another voice crying out.  In most places money speaks louder than the Bible.  Yet even here we see the greed of years has already started to undermine the profits as one ministry collapses after another.  They preached prosperity but now they have become bankrupt.  The great orators and leaders of past years have slowly died away.  We are left with wolves standing in our pulpits and goats sitting in our pews.  Over recent years one document after another gets signed which boasts of further ecumenicalism with Rome.  Rome like some endearing grandfather welcomes all and refuses no-one.  It seeks to champion ecumenicalism not just with evangelicals but also with interfaith dialogue.  The Moslem from the east or the North American Indian of the North, or to the shamans and gurus wherever they may be found.

One religion many flavours

However the road back to Rome is not all that it seems.  For it is a road that will see the development of the one world religion.  Imperial Rome also boasted that it welcomed all and rejected none, unless you stood for Christ.  The Christian would not burn incense to Caesar and paid with his life.  Yet Rome boasted that in their temples stood statues to every god they knew.  It was truly ecumenical, but it would never accept the one true GOD.  Nor the truth that said there was no God but the one true God as described the Bible.  Roman Catholicism is the great melting pot of ecumenical stew.    Many flavours mixed and yet never quite able to blended together.  Men love power and they are never quick to give up that power.  So Rome will never be a complete haven for men.  Men like to dally and play games, but they will never give up what they have.  People like their toys; they don’t mind playing with one another so long as everyone knows the rules.  What’s mine I keep?  So men will play their games and embrace Rome so long as it is in their interest.  But will back of when it is not.  So while men greet Rome as a friend and play their games they will never quite become full blooded Roman Catholics.  But in the end they will have their temples where they are all prepared to shake hands and clap each others back and say well done.  They don’t mind standing side by side and get their pictures taken, sell their latest revelations and get rich on the way.

But get real with God, NO chance.  Put away their toys to seek the one who can deliver and set free, NO chance.  But then just maybe that some might see the road sign that says the path is narrow but it is real.  The road might have dangers, but at least it goes upwards.

When men no longer see what profits them and begin to see what profits God.  When Gods honour is more important than their own or the size of their bank balance,  Just maybe they have started on their journey back to God.

Some God has humbled.

Some that are prepared to lose all to gain all.  Some where it is no longer how big the size of their church is, but how big their heart is towards God.  The time will come that to follow Christ will see the same stigma that followed the early Christians in the days of imperial Rome.  If you were not prepared to go with ecumenical acceptance of whatever god was lifted up, then it was off to jail with you or worse.  The road to Rome is a Road back to imperial Rome.  But to stand for truth what greatness and what honour is that?  Who is prepared to make that stand, even with the warm breath of a lion breathing in your face, or the fierceness of a snarling crowd?  Or the shaking of an emperor who demands you recognises his greatness and godhood.

We are living in an age of unprecedented deception.  There has always been deception but unlike today they did not have the internet cable and satellite broadcasting to beam their message out to the world.  In the past deception was often isolated on the outside of the professing church.  Then it crept into the church where it looked for a home and found the couch.  But still it was kept to the very extreme edge of the professing church.  Today it is no longer the couch they possess they have moved in lock stock and barrel.  Suddenly it is the professing church that is excluded. Suddenly we are the ones who find ourselves on the extreme edges of what is called the church.

The deceiving of the elect.

  • Mar 13:22 “ For false Christ’s and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if [it were] possible, even the elect.”

The Bible says that even the elect can be deceived if possible.  So it is possible for a Christian to be caught up in some form of deception.  However once that deception has been exposed you would not expect a Christian to continue promoting what is false.

Now many years ago I ran a tape and book library in my church.  I was given a tape by a friend who I knew and trusted.  I like what this minister sang.  He sounded so anointed. So in a moment my spiritual guard went down.  That was all it took.  His name was Kenneth Copeland.  I soon wrote of for his free magazine.  Soon my tape library had a few of this mans tapes in.  Sadly many who are deceived go on to deceive others.  Even though this was unintentional and thankfully very few listen to Copeland’s tapes.  Now you dont realise until God opens your eyes just what you have embraced.  It took another anointed man called Dave Hunt who wrote a book called the Seduction of Christianity that blew the lid on Copeland and others.  I remember I was walking around a local market looking for something and trying to speak something into existence.  Only to have God speak to me and say “Its not working for you is it”.   It was so clear and I had to acknowledge it was not.  Truth was winning out.  Now as it was I never did get into all the heretical aspect to what Copeland teaches.  But it did for a brief period did get into the positive confession side.  Not realising it was not my faith or my words that I needed but Gods.  I also remember that at the time when I came across Dave Hunt book, I could no afford to buy it out right.  So each week when I was in town I would read the book consecutively until I was able to buy the book.  I also bought his other book beyond seduction of Christianity.

Now a doctor can know that a patient is sick by just looking at him, but he has to go further to find out what the sickness is.  Now finding out that Copeland was a false teacher was one thing, but I needed to know why he was a false teacher.  So God put under the surgeon’s knife. As soon as I   began to read Dave Hunts book I recognised the truth.  It was if God was beginning to take his sword of the spirit and began to cut away and expose all the rubbish.    Finally he took me to what was Kenneth Hagin’s flagship teaching the rhema word and exposed it.  The article on this subject can be found on my Box account for reading or downloading. I know it has challenged many.

Now I can’t remember the pastor of that church ever standing up and exposing false teachers.  In those days it was not seen as the done thing.   If you are in a good church that exposes false teaching that’s good.  Sadly watch out for friends you trust giving you someone else’s teachings.  They may be a good friend but that does not mean they have not been deceived.  People and friends are often the vehicle to propagate false doctrines.  Most of all don’t be afraid to question.  If you pastor is a sound man of God he will not be embarrassed or offended by people questions.  It is when you are met with the don’t touch God anointed lark that you will realise that these men are not all they seem to be.

The church has become the minority.

Falsehood and deception has certainly become the standard among most churches, although not all.  If you are in a good church be thankful and blessed.  Once most churches were fairly orthodox and the false ones a minority, however today this trend seems to have changed dramatically.  Many churches have simply capitulated to whatever is being passed around.  Either because the pastor has been pressurised by members within his church or the Pastor has been the main protagonist for bringing in false teachings. Either way the church has succumbed to the sickness of false teaching.

The church has become the victim of starlets and mega stars.

While there is nothing wrong in principle of going to people to ask advice and help, we must first and foremost become a people that seeks God.  Now this practice has been severely undermined as most people will not just through a starlet preacher, but will stay there.  They don’t get any further than his TV channel.    These starlets and mega stars have become the larger than life celebrities within Christian’s circles, and many have placed their eternal destinies in their hands.  You can’t do that.  The apostles always pointed a person to Jesus.  It’s when people land up pointing to themselves as the man of the hour.  Walk away they can’t help you.

  • 1 Cor 1:12- “Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.   Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?  I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius”
  • 1 Cor 1:29 “That no flesh should glory in his presence.”

Even the apostles had the same problem in those days.  People have their favourites.  But it was bringing division to the body of Christ.  But they had to look beyond their favourites and recognised that Jesus was the one to glory in.

  • 1 Cor 1:30 “ But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.”

Until we get passes the ideology of worshipping starlets and mega stars nothing will change.  Now it cannot be impressed enough that these starlets and mega stars are not going to give up their place in people lives.  So we will see an ever increasing pressure to hold onto their stardom.  I mean for them the money the fame and the stardom is the all embracing thing.  They are not going to give that up for nothing and for no one, not even for Christ.

Now expect to see an ever increasing dependence on signs and wonders and just about anything to keep you attention.

I know of a woman who has an illness and so does her son.  She does the runs of local conferences looking for her healing.  The one person she should be seeking is Jesus.   Now this running after always means embracing theologies and teachings of some imported mega starlet.  Buying their books and tapes and confessing healings.  Now I do hope she is healed except I don’t believe it, as she keeps going to get her healing.  If she was healed why would she keep seeking it?  I have great sympathy for the sick but I don’t have for deception and lies.  It has been proven that in many of Benny Hinn’s healing conferences the real sick never make it to the front to be prayed for.  They are usually filtered out as they come to the front by Hinn guards.  The real sick are never seen on Benny’s TV shows.  So the illusion is maintained that people are being healed when they are not.

The illusion of Christian TV

Now as you might appreciate TV is predominantly an illusion. A make believe world that passes itself as being as real as possible, and that is what acting is all about.  It is to fool the general public into suspending their judgement and critical faculties and embrace this make believe world.  Many Christian TV channels do the same.  Now I have to emphasis that this does not mean that all Christian channels are up the creek.  But many of those who run these stations will have their own agenda and will push their own favourite teachers.  Many of them are definitely up the creek.  It is in their interest to give the impression that the Holy Spirit works with the cameras and shows up on cue.  Sorry the Holy Spirit does what he chooses, not when we whistle.  What do you do when the Holy Spirit refuses to cooperate?  You can guess they make it up as they go along.  It’s this whole world of illusion.  The trade of the magician’s illusionist and camera tricks.  Do not be surprised that in the near future someone is able to televise the odd angels or two.  There before the world, people will be able to see except it will come as a computer generated character, made up in some back room by the boffins of high tech.

All to give the appearance that the man at the front is Gods anointed.  If he makes claims of seeing angels who is going to call him a liar and who is going to call him out?   However many are not prepared to accept the illusion and see it for what it is.  They are not prepared to embrace the smoke and mirrors or the deception that goes with it.  People want the real thing.

Christianity has become big business

Maybe this is probably the worst part of all this deception.  Christianity has become just another business.  Therefore Christianity has become another corporate business turning a buck.  Salvation is nothing more than a gimmick on the back of a tract, and Jesus just another bill board character on the same lines as superman or spider man. The main aim is to fleece as many people as possible and make someone very rich and prosperous.  That’s why many of these mega preachers are extremely rich.  It generally means there are a lot of people who were desperate are now even more desperate.  Now the crazy thing is that because people have been brought up in this culture they almost expect to be taken for a ride.  People just don’t question it when the bucket is passed around two or three times.  What used to be a collection plate is now large buckets.  People give time after time not daring to question.  They are fed the lie that if they want to be blessed and receive they have to give.  Not even realising that if that was the case they would in fact be buying their blessing, where is that in scripture?  It is so subtle and deceptive that many just do not wake up to the fact that they have been fleeced.  The flow of this so called blessing only goes one way up to the man at the front.

Until this culture changes deception will continue.  Until people wake up to this deception nothing is going to change.  Until this deception is challenged by people like myself nothing will change.
