Is Faith nothing more than a positive attitude?   This quote comes from Facebook, a comment someone I know put up on their Facebook.

This is what John Hagee teaches.

John Hagee

It seems despite almost 60 responses to this comment.  The majority bar one agreed with him.  A sad state when the church has absolutely no idea what FAITH is and what it is not.   Here is one quote from a women who definitely had no idea.

W.R.FloresWow! It doesn’t get more clearer than that! Thank you, Pastor!!

I have to admit I just cannot commend this woman for her response, and she was just one of almost 60 people.  Many of which said “Amen” to John Hagee statement

Now out of those 60 just one man responded Biblically and honestly.

FarrierI hate to disagree…and its a first on this page, but No, I’m sorry pastor, FAITH is not merely maintaing a positive attitude despite your limitations, FAITH is having FULL confidence in God to do all things through you and not worrying about the need for your individual effort, or questioning God’s timing by your definition of results.”

I stand to commend and applaud that at least one person was willing and able to define the truth on Biblical Faith.  What makes this so serious is that merely having a positive attitude cannot keep you from Hell but faith in God will.

Notice how many LIKES he got for that comment.  Is that 321, 363 potential souls on their way to a lost eternity and only ONE gave the right response.  How many will follow this man who is on record as rejecting Christ as the messiah is anyone’s guess.  But personally this is serious stuff.  When the people who call themselves Christians can no longer define what Biblical faith is , we know we have a problem today.

Many people like the idea of a final great revival during the tribulation period that will see hundreds swept into the kingdom.  One great final blast that will see countless numbers saved.  Believe me we need more than ever a revival to shake us all up.  I sincerely hope that this world would indeed see  one more revival to sweep across these lands.  But when we begin to look through scripture on the subject of the tribulation period I simply don’t see any great revival to speak off.

Rev 13:7- And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Rev 16: 14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, [which] go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

2 Thess 2: 9 [Even him], whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders. And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Now do any of these verses give the impression that the world will be converted at the last moment?

Rom 1: 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in [their] knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient

Whilst this verse is fundamentally about homosexuality, there is something more God is speaking of here.  Gods grace continues to withhold or restrain mankind from the worst, but  inevitably there seems to come a point where that striving against God comes to a pont of no return.

Rom 1: 21-23 ….. but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.  Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,  And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

God has laid out before us the downward steps that leads mankind to this inevitable place, where it’s simply says “THEY BECAME FOOLS.”

Judgement takes place not because there is this mass revival, but because mankind has so strived to break the boundaries and shake off the confines God has placed upon them. Inevitable God releases them to their own desires.  God never created man to be an automaton, a Robot that obeys because he has no choice.  Gods grace is when he restrains the world.  It is his judgement when he no longer does .  God wants man to freely choose the right way and the right way is life.  But the wrong way only brings darkness and sorrow.

There is something very terrible when man is allowed to give full expression to his deepest darkest imagination.  There is a darkness that is so terrible and so horrible that even God does not want mankind to plummet to.  There are consequences when someone so resists the grace of God that God has no other option than to pronounce judgement.  That starts with God-given someone over to their wickedness.   In the end when man is allowed full sway inevitable his world spins out of control.

I would love there to be an end time revival by God,  but sadly I don’t see it.  Many scriptures are used to suggest their might be one:

Rev 7: 9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands

If this number takes place during the GREAT TRIBULATION period as many believe , Note what it says “NO MAN CAN NUMBER.”   How can that be if the world goes after the antichrist.

We see two senarios taking place at the same time.  With one the world follows the antichrist,  The other the world gets saved and follows Jesus. How can we reconcile this problem ?  We simply cant.

Either the world will be saved or they will not be lost.  They will either follow the Jesus or follow the antichrist.  Both cannot happen at the same time.  The numbers simply don’t add up.

Rev 7: 14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

They ” CAME OUT OF GREAT TRIBULATION ,” But that is different from the phrase we often used to today to describe the GREAT TRIBULATION PERIOD. Which is a modern usage of the term which describes a specific period.  But in Rev 7: 14  It only says they did, not when they did.  We are simply taking a modern definition and squeezing the passage in revelation to fit  it.

Christians today are indeed going through GREAT TRIBULATION under the persecution by Moslems.  The same term can equally apply.  For when in history have we seen such large-scale persecution of believers across the world.

If anything what we are seeing  is mass deception in the last days on a large-scale, where evil spirits will go forth to deceive the world into worshipping and giving their allegiance to the antichrist.  Those who receive the mark are given over to be judged.    How can these same people be converted when even scripture makes it clear they are damned?

Now if there is to be a revival during this period it will not be one that is orchestrated by God.  What we see is lying signs and wonders by a false prophet or workers of iniquity.  These so-called miracles will convince the world in a direction that speaks of doom.  Is it any wonder that so many have gone after the newest pope to sit on the papal seat?  He has so far done nothing to clean house and yet the media and the people are running after him like he is the new messiah on the block.  Whilst I have no doubt that he is not “the” Antichrist, he  is very much part of the false prophet who has usurped the throne and title of God on earth.  Much of what we see going on today is the basis of evil spirits going forth to cause strife and upheaval.  All in preparation for the man of perdition to step out from behind the curtain to convince the world that together they can bring forth peace.  As one united people they can even shake their fist at God and win.  Determine their own future under the leadership of this false man of peace.  Peace sadly is not what will materialise.

There is no doubt that the last few years has seen an increasing number of false so-called revivals from the Toronto Blessing  to  Todd Bentley.  All of which did nothing but mock true Christianity and held it up  to the world as a joke.  Never mind the number of false christ claiming to be the reincarnation of Jesus Christ.  False date settings whose predictions came and went and nothing happened. other than the world once again laughed their socks off.  Harold Camping was not the first to set dates, As far back as Hall Lindsey with the Late Great Planet Earth book and the more recent Left Behind series.  Many of which offered up intriguing senarios of the last days. and how the rapture would come about.  Sadly time has moved on and Halls books now collect dust on books shelfs.  Whilst these books offer up a glimmerof what could happen, time has shown that things have not quite worked out as they had hoped.   Whilst I am convinced concerning the prophetic end times , I am also persuaded that there is much room for greater understanding.  That may mean getting completly away from writers who made their money out of such books but got it predominetly wrong.

The number of false prophets  that have risen in recent days continue to astound , sometimes so numerous that one cannot even begin to count them.  As more and more make an appearance almost daily.

Now this was asked by a Moslem as a trick question, which going by experience was normal for them?   Naturally as Christian we have a tendency to emphasise on the resurrection of Jesus and what took place in his humanity after his resurrection.

Now as we would obviously note that because Jesus had risen he would not be in the grave on the Fourth or fifth day.  The response from this Moslem was that Jesus could not be God because he was not in the grave.  Cheap shot at best and completely dumb.

Nevertheless it does raise a question which can be answered.  WHERE WAS JESUS DURING THOSE DAYS?  WE KNOW WHERE HIS BODY LAY BUT WHERE WAS THE REST OF HIM?

Had he had the honesty to ask the obvious relevant question he would probably have received the obvious answer that we shall now look at?

Now we have several references as to where Jesus was during this time.

(1)     Lk 23: 43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in Paradise.

(2)   1 Peter 3: 19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison

(3)   Mat 28: 20-Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen

(4)   Heb 9: 23 It was] therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, [which are] the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

Jesus made certain promises to his disciples that he would be with them always.  So even when his body lay in the grave, he was with them.  Although they did not see him physically he was nevertheless with them in spirit.  Therefore he had never left them.

We also know he went and preached to those who were held in prison.

1 Peter 3: 19- 20 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;  Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water

Finally the promise to the repentant thief was the promise that he would be with Christ in paradise.     Christ did not leave to go elsewhere.

Jesus also took his own blood and entered into the holy place in heaven of which the holy of holies was a type, and offered his own blood for the ransom of many.

Now all these things took place simultaneously over the course of those days.  That means he is the omnipresent God, and fully capable of doing what needed to be done.

If Jesus needed to be with someone in the grave he most certainly could have.  Unlike allah who can’t.  Nevertheless we have another promise:

Mat 22: 32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

As Jesus reminded us Math 28:20 he continues to remain with us both in life and in death.  Except in death we go to be with Christ

2 Cor 5: 8 We are confident, [I say], and willing rather to be absent from the body, present with the Lord

We hold to a covenant keeping God

Where does this confidence come from?

It comes from the Bible as we gain confidence in Gods ministerial ministry among his people.  The Bible is not so much about man finding God, But how Gods finds men.  The Bible is really all about how a perfect righteous holy God gets his hands dirty and reveals himself to those who follow him.   He gets involved in the lives of men and women who are not perfect, pure or saintly.  They all have history that would in some cases turn our heads at.  Murderers thieves adulterers, schemers, Harlots, and much much more.  It is the fact that God reaches out to these people that helps the rest of us as we all have history.    None of us come with a perfect record.  Yet God is bold enough gracious enough and loving enough to touch people’s lives.

For many and that includes Moslems they can’t understand this.  They don’t have a religion that sees individual Moslems meet with God.  Or if they do they will usually leaven Islam.

It comes from a deep personal experience of walking with him and seeing answers to life’s issues.   God remains a God who is very much a part of the lives of his people.

UCMINISTRIES : This is but a crude illustration which describes the origin of the Word of Faith, or as some have coined The Prosperity Movement..  Whilst this is by no means a complete or exhaustive picture, it does show how the origins of this teaching stem not from scripture but the doctrines of men.   The various relationships between the various ministries may vary from person to person, but there can be no doubt that the influences do exist.

Jude 1: 4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ

2 Peter 2: 1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction

2 Peter 3: 3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

This was predicted centuries ago and we are now seeing the fulfilment.  Sadly many a good man or women has been caught up in the movement and swept along.  These Pillow prophets have merchandised the gospel, crept in under our radar and seduced the church with their pernicious teachings.    I can only hope in time this tree with be added to show how others fit into the picture.  Mark them well as they have neither the health of your soul or your spiritual well being in mind.

Mat 7: 15 -18 @ 20 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.  Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither [can] a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

There are many who do come to reject what Hagin taught, yet do not even realise that they are still drinking from the same polluted well. The same theology of faith as a force and the power in words to create ones own reality, still posses a heavy cocktail that many find to hard to renounce.  Motivational speakers like Joyce Mayer and Joel Osteen present to the unwary their own rehash revamped mixture of positive thinking and prosperity gospel all rolled into one.  Many see in these preachers what they lack in themselves, a positive image, a deep sense of self worth, and the need to see themselves in a more positive constructive light.  The sad reality however it is still not the gospel.  What makes this all the more dangerous is that these preachers are elevated and enthroned on pedestals as latter day apostles.  They cannot be questioned or rebuked less you are touching upon the Lords anointed.

The roots of this philosophy go very deep into a theology that’s alien to scripture.  Whilst Biblical terms like faith in God are used, inevitably faith gets placed in everywhere else but God.     The message may sound overwhelmingly positive but positivity in of itself is still not scripture.

Scripture is made into a repetitive confession simply to be declared, rather than a belief to be lived by, and just because a man can confess there is a GOD does not mean he truly knows him.  A reptititious confession cannot bring a man closer to God, than reading a book makes you known to the author.

To say that the gospel has been hijacked is an under statement.  It has been repackaged, relabelled, prostituted to the ninth degree, Pimped out to whoever will be pay a buck, rebranded all in the name of God.  If Jesus was around to day he would have to cleanse the temple all over again.  Then we wonder why Christianity today if failing.  Unless we have smoke machines and disco lights on the platform the youth are not interested.  The Old guard are pushed out as out of touch and out of date.  Worship is more like an hour at the local disco.

I believe in the rapture of the church.  Its truth is firmly grounded in scripture.  Every true Bible believing Christian longs for the day we depart this scene of sin and sickness.  We long to be clothed and raised to stand before the one who died to save us.

1 Thess 4: 16-18   For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.raptured ready

However I am persuaded that for many the images of vast numbers disappearing before people’s eyes simply is not going to happen.  In fact religious Christendom will remain intact.  Christian TV will continue to broadcast their message. Many Mega churches will continue their services and the happy clappy sermons of prosperity health and wealth.  Worship reminiscent of pop and rock will continue along with all the smoke and mirrors we have become so accustomed too.

With the exception of a few the world will continue as if nothing has happened.  People go missing every day and little is done to find them.  I have no doubt that the prescribe message has already been written to excuse those who have disappeared.  As the world looks upon what they believe is Christendom they will sign a relief that any stories of rapture was simply another Harold Camping fiasco.  Jokes will flow and the Rapture will just become the  butt of every comedian show.

No one will bother to go looking as sudden world events will take a twist capturing hearts and minds.    Those who relatives who have disappeared, will take comfort that any excuse is available but the real one.

For those who have been raptured we will be attending to other matters, as we enter into the marriage of the Lamb.  Resurrected and finally clothed in resurrected bodies that cannot be touched or hindered by age sin or infirmity.   The dream will have passed and the reality has dawned and we will be home.  bodies that were onced racked with pain and age will rise with incorruption.  Gloriously clothed in purity holiness and righteousness.

Let  the world laugh and joke, but the saints will be the ones to have the last laugh.  Not at the lost who will be left behind but with joy unspeakable at being in the presence of the saviour whose blood won our redemption and make us acceptable in the beloved.

Time after time we hear the rhetoric that Islam is a peaceful and tolerant religion.  Yet in reality and practice we see just the opposite.  Can the rest of the world be forgiven if we simply no longer believe the rhetoric?   Can we in reality come to any other conclusion than the one we have arrived at?  The message many proclaim is simply not lining up with their actions.

Laval, Quebec resident Mouna Diab

Laval, Quebec resident Mouna Diab

Lets take this story :

Laval, Quebec resident Mouna Diab was arrested last year for violating a Canadian-backed international arms embargo aimed at Lebanon.

The 26-year-old was charged at the time with attempting to smuggle assault weapons parts to the Lebanon-based, Iranian-backed Hezbollah terrorist organization.

The Lebanese-Canadian woman was also just charged under Canada‘s post-9/11 anti-terrorism laws of acting for “the benefit of, at the direction of, or in association with a terrorist group” according to a statement by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).

The National Post (of Canada) reports this is the first time Canada has charged anyone directly with Hezbollah.

Delving into her past, it was uncovered that:

Prior to her arrest, Ms. Diab was vice-president of the Association of Young Lebanese Muslims.

Her activism was focused partly on changing the stereotypes that too often associate Muslims with terrorism and violence.”

Terror Attacks Planned Against Canada…

The RCMP also stated that Hezbollah is “primarily involved in logistics and operational support activities and fundraising” within Canada.

Nonetheless, fears persist that the Tehran regime may unleash Hezbollah world-wide if Iranian nuclear facilities are attacked by the West.

Following the 2008 killing of Hezbollah terror chief Imad Mugniyah:

“Canadian authorities warned Canadian Jewish groups that Hezbollah might attempt a revenge attack in Canada.”

The Hezbollah network is reportedly larger in Canada than most Weste rners believe.

Also cited in the National Post report:

“The Hezbollah presence in Canada goes back at least two decades.

In 1993, a Hezbollah member named Mohamed Hussein Al Husseini told the Canadian Security Intelligence Service that Hezbollah had operatives ‘in all of Canada.’

Several senior Hezbollah members are alleged to be Canadians, including Faouzi Ayoub, a former Toronto man who took part in a hijacking and was added to the FBI’s most wanted terrorists list last July.”  Source

So the message she was trying to convey to the media of a stereotyped that Islam was not violent at the end of the day was abandoned for a reality that it is.  Is it any wonder that many of us simply assume that Moslems lie in presenting one message to the world , whilst the other secretly planning the downfall of the world.  Can we be forgiven that we simply no longer believe such messages as a subtle form of subterfuge and misdirection.  In fact Moslems even have their own word for it:

Taqiyya  (Lying)These circumstances are typically of those that advance the cause Islam – in some cases by gaining the trust of non-believers in order to draw out their vulnerability and defeat them.  Islam teaches that there are justified in doing so.  In debating with many elsewhere one does indeed find such tactics in use.  Even to the misdirection of what their own teachings had to say.  The end justifies any means at their disposal.

A former member of the infamous Westboro Baptist Church reveals for the first time how her life has changed since she escaped from their clutches. Four years ago the world saw Libby Phelps picketing Obama Inauguration and taking part in anti Gay and Anti Semitic protests.  She never had a haircut and was unable to travel anywhere other than the USA. article-2269567-17386A2C000005DC-289_306x423.jpg

We sometimes forget that those who become the first victims to any cult are those who are held within its clutches.  Fear of the world and everything outside keeps many from fleeing.   It can be a strange symptom even within any closed environment that may not even be a cult.  The simple fact that you become isolated from the community in general can lead to an irrational fear of those who are living outside.  Such a fear may seem or appear justified on the surface but is really irrational. Yes the world is not always a nice place but neither is the fear that can exist in an isolated community locked away from the outside. We are to be in the world even if we are not of this world.  The strange effect is that everyone on the outside can be perceived as some enemy or ogre just waiting to pounce and rip ones inners out.  The boogeyman of child hood fears resurrected.  I remember once being in Bible College and it was not a cult.  I came back of holiday to be told that the place had intruders.  I remember lying in bed one night fearing that someone would try to get through my bed room window.  The fear for real, the possibilities were real.  But I choose to defeat that fear because my God was bigger than my fears. I quickly fell asleep soon afterwards. Fear can be conquered and I never had another sleepless night.

Now age 29, Libby Phelps Alvarez after fleeing the church, is finding peace with her new life. But walking away from everything she’d ever known, including praying for homosexual, Jewish and Chinese people to die, wasn’t easy, she told the Kansas City Star: ‘That first year, there would be days it would hit me really hard.’

Mrs Phelps Alvarez is the granddaughter of Fred Waldron Phelps, Sr., the founder and pastor of the Westboro Baptist Church – an American independent Baptist church known for its extreme ideologies.  The group would often be found picketing funerals of American soldiers and just about anywhere where they would be noticed.

Often we see the headlines that the church has decided to picket some funeral somewhere or other, But rarely do we hear news about those who have fled this cult.  News which can give hope to others who may have a desire to leave but fear holds them back.  There is no easy answer to leaving, but what can say is that there is HOPE.  There are many emotional complexities about leaving friends and especially family who are still under the influence of a cult.  But with Hope comes possibilities.  With possibilities comes a new freedom.    She is not alone in getting out, as her brother Josh escaped two years before she did, which might have been a precursor to encouraging her to leave.

This is libby’s story and if you are in a cult like the Westbro Baptist remember there is life outside.

It was after church members confronted her about a bikini she had worn during a family vacation that she decided to follow her brother lead.

She knew how she was supposed to reply to their complaints, she said, ‘Apologize, ask forgiveness, and assure the members she would never wear a bikini again’. But unable to repent for something she didn’t believe to be wrong, she said she fled.

When she left, she had a car, a small amount of money and nothing else. She was able to save up for her own apartment lease thanks to her boss, who let her stay with her for four months.

Estranged from her family, Mrs Phelps Alvarez now lives in Lawrence not far from the University of Kansas campus with her newlywed husband, Logan.

Although it is just 30 minutes from where she grew up, she is unable to speak to her cousin, Megan, or mother, and she says she still lies in bed sometimes thinking about, and mourning the fact that she will never again be able to speak to them.

But without the constraints of the church, she quickly began to branch out, experiencing things that had been forbidden to her for 25 years.

She went out with her boss to a bar for the first time, to a music concert, to the hairdresser, and she even got her ears pierced – ‘another big no no in the church,’ she said.

It was when she was shopping at Urban Outfitters in Lawrence that she bumped into a former physical therapy patient, Logan – also a member of the church.

He bought her flowers, which turned into a date – and it didn’t take long for her to tell him who her family was and that if he wanted, she would offer him an out; a chance to cut and run.

To Libby enjoy your new life

To Libby enjoy your new life

Within four months, Logan proposed, and the newlyweds have since traveled the world together.

‘No one is allowed to leave the country while at WBC,’ she writes on her Facebook. But together, the couple have been to England, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, and France.

After she escaped, she accepted an interview request by 96.5 The Buzz in Kansas. The radio host delicately asked her what the craziest thing that church members had ever made her do. She replied: ‘To pray for people to die.’

The church is actively involved in actions against gay people, and in addition to conducting anti-gay protests at military funerals, the organization pickets other celebrity funerals and public events that are likely to get it media attention.

Protests against Judaism are also prevalent, and the church’s website states: ‘The only true Jews are Christians. The rest of the people who claim to be Jews aren’t, and they are nothing more than typical, impenitent sinners… the vast majority of Jews support fags.’

Mrs Phelps Alvarez says she often thinks about her cousin Megan, who was her best friend and confidante, who she knows she will never see again unless she also leaves the church.

‘I would take her to Covent Garden in England and for ice cream and tea in London,’ Mrs Phelps Alvarez said.

‘And there was a place in Germany, the Hofbrauhaus, it’s really famous, there’s a brass band. And I know that Megan would love going on The Tube in England…’

‘I wish that she could experience the same things. Or that she would have the opportunity or the choice to experience the same things.’

I hope that if you are or were part of a cult please leave your experiences on how you got out.  There are many I believe held captive that truly want out.  But it is going to take a lot of encouragement.  They need to hear from others that life does not finish when one gets out.

UCMINISTRIES When I first read this story it took about three seconds to realize the full complexity of what has just happened.  The question is does anyone else see the full horror that is before us?   Just as one would drop a stone into a pond you begin to see the ripples move outward.  Mr Rashid may be a very small stone being dropped into the pond of British society.  But the ramification spread far and wide.

Let’s get the basics story line:

  • Adil Rashid admitted travelling to Nottingham and having sex with the girl
  • He met the 13-year-old on Facebook and they communicated by texts and phone for two months before they met
  • He was educated in a madrassa and ‘had little experience of women’
  • Said he had been taught ‘women are no more worthy than a lollipop that has been dropped on the ground’
  • Added he was reluctant to have sex but that he was ‘tempted by [the girl]’

A muslim who raped a 13-year-old girl he groomed on Facebook has been spared a prison sentence after a judge heard he went to an Islamic faith school where he was taught that women are worthless.

Adil Rashid, 18, claimed he was not aware that it was illegal for him to have sex with the girl because his education left him ignorant of British law.

Yesterday Judge Michael Stokes handed Rashid a suspended sentence, saying: ‘Although chronologically 18, it is quite clear from the reports that you are very naive and immature when it comes to sexual matters.’     Earlier Nottingham Crown Court heard that such crimes usually result in a four to seven-year prison sentence.   But the judge said that because Rashid was ‘passive’ and ‘lacking assertiveness’, sending him to jail might cause him ‘more damage than good’. Rashid, from Birmingham, admitted he had sex with the girl, saying he had been ‘tempted by her’ after they met online.

They initially exchanged messages on Facebook before sending texts and chatting on the phone over a two-month period. They then met up in Nottingham, where Rashid had booked a room at a Premier Inn.  The girl told police they stayed at the hotel for two hours and had sex after Rashid went to the bathroom and emerged wearing a condom.

Rashid then returned home and went straight to a mosque to pray. He was arrested the following week after the girl confessed what had happened to a school friend, who informed one of her teachers. He told police he knew the girl was 13 but said he was initially reluctant to have sex before relenting after being seduced. Earlier the court heard how Rashid had ‘little experience of women’ due to his education at an Islamic school in the UK, which cannot be named for legal reasons.

After his arrest, he told a psychologist that he did not know having sex with a 13-year-old was against the law. The court heard he found it was illegal only when he was informed by a family member. In other interviews with psychologists, Rashid claimed he had been taught in his school that ‘women are no more worthy than a lollipop that has been dropped on the ground’.  When Judge Stokes said Rashid ‘must have known it was illegal, unless he was going round with his eyes shut’, defence lawyer Laban Leake said reports suggested Rashid had a ‘degree of sexual naivety’. ‘The school he attended, it is not going too far to say, can be described as a closed community and on this occasion this was perpetuated by his home life.

It is not too far to say that he may not have known that having sex with a 13-year-old girl was illegal.’ Judge Stokes sentenced Rashid to nine months youth custody, suspended for two years, along with a two-year probation supervision order. Describing Rashid, the judge said: ‘He’s had an unusual education, certainly in terms of the sexual education provided. Comparing women to lollipops is a very curious way of teaching young men about sex.’

But he said that Rashid knew what he was doing was wrong.

‘It was made clear to you at the school you attended that having sexual relations with a woman before marriage was contrary to the precepts of Islam,’ he said. Addressing Rashid, the judge said: ‘I accept this was a case where the girl was quite willing to have sexual activity with you. But the law is there to protect young girls, even though they are perfectly happy to engage in sexual activity.’

Now the police are investigating Jimmy Savile and his many celebrity friends.  If anything it has been a naming it and shaming routine for many, even though no conviction has been pursued at this present moment.  Now here we have a 18-year-old Moslem who is prosecuted for rape and what is pedophilia.  What makes this story a truly horrific is that the man in question falls back on his religious upbringing.    Two very prominent statements struck me immediately on what this young man was  being taught in his closed community.

Women are no more worthy than a lollipop that has been dropped on the ground.

Judge heard he went to an Islamic faith school where he was taught that women are worthless.

What sort of community teaches their children that women are worthless?  Seriously folks what sort of mental image does a child grow up with.  Condition to see women as some sort of object thats worthless.

Now according to the paper the school he went to can’t be name for legal reasons WHY NOT?  Are the police actively investigating?  In fact, why unlike Savile and his celebrity friends there no naming and shaming of the school in question?

The Most frightening aspect here, are there more students  like Adil Rashid  out there who have been taught that women are WORTHLESS.  In fact who is to say that in a few years time we will have a whole community of men whose basic beliefs is that women in general are nothing more than something you scrape of your shoe.  Believe me the possibility is very frightening for the future. The rights of women in Moslems countries are not good.  When someone is seen as worthless then violence against them becomes more acceptable, and more justifiable.

The question that should be raised is this school still operating under their present mandate and if so why?  If this school is teaching such ideology then questions need to be asked on all levels of this society. Now I can’t help wondering that if this was anything other than a Moslem faith school the police  the newspapers and social services and even Parliament will be banging down their door for answers.  Does anyone hear anything from the news right now?

Now  when you hear of some of the unrealistic naivety that other Moslem countries churn out  you might just begin to grasp the possibilities as to what might be round the corner for this country.

Saudis fear there will be ‘no more virgins’ and people will turn gay if female drive ban is lifted

The astonishing report comes after Shaima Jastaniya, a 34-year-old Saudi woman, was sentenced to 10 lashes with a whip after being caught driving in Jeddah. There has been strong protest in the country about the sentence – and about the law generally. But resistance to reform and change remains strong among conservative royals and clerics.

Source Daily mail

Let us not forget the absurdity of the Olympic games when Iranian Paralympic athlete refused to shake the Duchess of Cambridge’s hand.  All because she was a woman.

Such superstitious fear might be forgiven if this was the product of some simply mind, but when you have leading clerics coming out with such foolishness what then?  For women in Britain the right to drive is a basic human right.  Yet we would have private schools teachings their children that women are predominantly nothing better than a throw away lollypop.  Is this not a denial of such human rights?   The impact upon a nation if left could indeed be devastating unless there is a quick U-turn.  Islam fundamentalism is steeped in a seventh century mindset.  The desire for society and women in general to be regressed back to some medieval dark ages is clearly unacceptable.

In a recent book on the subject of Islamic violence against women this brief except speaks volumes.  Whilst I might not agree with every point it raises some serious questions.

Violence against women in Arab and Islamic countries

In Arab and Islamic countries, domestic violence is not yet considered a major concern despite its increasing frequency and serious consequences. Surveys in Egypt, Palestine, Israel and Tunisia show that at least one out of three women is beaten by her husband. The indifference to this type of violence stems from attitudes that domestic violence is a private matter and, usually, a justifiable response to misbehaviour on the part of the wife. Selective excerpts from the Koran are used to prove that men who beat their wives are following God’s commandments. These religious justifications, plus the importance of preserving the honour of the family, lead abusers, victims, police and health care professionals to join in a conspiracy of silence rather than disclosing these offences. However, a fair reading of the Koran shows that wife abuse, like genital mutilation and “honour killings” are a result of culture rather than religion.

Source  :

My view is that it is not just cultural but also remains in part religious.  I am reminded of a story that was reported in the papers of a Moslem couple who came to blows a few years back.  The husband was a Moslem teacher at university in Germany,   His wife was not prepared to abandoned her love for western lifestyle which she felt was more relaxed.  As the Husband was raining blow upon blows upon her, he quoted from the Koran as justification for his right to beat her to a pulp.  Thankfully the German police disagreed and arrested the husband for assault.

I believe this was the verse in question::

Koran 4: 34 Pickthal: Men are in charge of women, because Allah hath made the one of them to excel the other, and because they spend of their property (for the support of women). So good women are the obedient, guarding in secret that which Allah hath guarded. As for those from whom ye fear rebellion, admonish them and banish them to beds apart, and scourge them. Then if they obey you, seek not a way against them. Lo! Allah is ever High, Exalted, Great.

Now compare that with what the Bible says:

1 Peter 3: 7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with [them] according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

There is a clear difference between the two.

It has been shown that when rights are diminished for either cultural or religious reasons violence against such individuals follows.

Over the years Benny Hinn has managed to come out with some of the most remarkable predictions and statements known within Christendom.  From the belief that there are nine persons within the trinity to daring to place curses upon  people who dare to disagree with his ministry, all of which failed miserably.

He has grown rich at the expense of the truth, and remains in my opinion one of the most dubious characters goingBenny Hinn holy spirit

In a more recent event which can be found on YOUTUBE we have a set of three tapes entitled :

Pastor Benny Hinn – Teaching on the Holy Spirit (parts 1-3)

I have tried to quote some of his most unusual statement from his three-part  sermon.  The only real redeeming quality of all three can be found in the third tape where he appears to reject the word of faith teaching on positive confession.   Where he recounts a story of a woman dying from cancer but refuses to confess she was.  Benny gets her to confess the truth about her ailment and of course the moral of the story is she confesses and gets healed.  How true this story is I don’t know. But it may highlight the fact just how much that the campaign against this teachings is getting through, and some of those who formally embraced it  like Benny are now trying to distance themselves from it.

As this is a set of three tapes, I have drawn upon some of the basic statements on his teaching on the Holy Spirit.  We will see that Benny still has no real understanding of the Trinity now as he did when he quoted his famous nine persons in the trinity statement.

Hinn blasphemy to say the least is both remarkable and ongoing.  Neither gifted with understanding or having the faintest clue about Biblical doctrine, I suspect he simply makes it up as he goes along.   He continues as all Word of Faith teachers do, misquote and misinterpret scripture to formulate their own bizarre ideas

Part 1 of three part tape

One of the supremely important revelations of the Bible has to do with Gods nature…the Bible unfolds a mystery that we could not know through no other source but the Bible…. What is that mystery… the mystery is that God is both one and three… Father son and Holy Spirit… one of the most profound revelations has to do with the person and work  of the Holy Spirit… When you discover that the Holy Spirit is the presence of God everywhere.  Turn to Jer 23: 23  (Benny Hinn)

Jer 23: 23-24  [Am] I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off?  Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.

The Holy Spirit is that limitless of power in the Godhead…… we must understand without the Holy Spirit God the father would not know what is happening on this planet.  I have just said something to wake you up….. without the Holy Spirit  even  (3:59)  Without the  HOLY SPIRIT  even God the father does not know what is happening inside of you…. Important even to the Father himself (someone reads out Jer 23: 23-24)  How does God fill the  heaven and earth…the answer is in Pslam 139: 1 (Benny Hinn)

Ps 139: 1-7 [[To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.]] O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known [me]. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.  Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted [with] all my ways. For [there is] not a word in my tongue, [but], lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether. Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. [Such] knowledge [is] too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot [attain] unto it. Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

V7 … that verse unlocks the whole chapter. (Benny Hinn)

There are three main attributes to God which we want to look at :

Omniscience ( all-knowing).

Omnipresence (abides everywhere)

Omnipotence (all-powerful.)

Take any one of these away and God is denigrated and he ceases to be the God of the Bible.  For the Father to not know what’s going on without the help of the Holy Spirit implies a limitation on his knowledge and his omnipresence and thus strikes at the third all in one go.  The Father is then denigrated to a lesser position and the Holy Spirit is elevated above the father.  Otherwise the Holy Spirit is greater because he has the attributes that the father does not have.

Jer 23 does not say the only way God the Father knows anything is because of the Holy Spirit.  Jeremiah 23 makes it clear that the LORD which is a collective name for God is present everywhere.  He is neither limited nor constrained in knowledge his presence or his power.

Ps 139 on a single verse which mentions the word spirit and presence is immediately jumped upon to the exclusion of other verses.  It must be reminded that God is a spirit and the Psalmist is referring to God himself.

(part 2)

1.36 Holy Spirit is the agent through whom God knows everything and is everywhere by the spirit. …. God the father through the spirit…. Only through the spirit is present everywhere….. Jesus through the spirit and only through the spirit is present everywhere…. The Holy Spirit is the presence of God the father and of presence of God the son in the whole universe.

Holy spirit is the power of creation itself!

When the word and the spirit is united creation is the result….. when the spirit and the word  become one creation is the result…. Whether in the universe or in your life……teaching on faith went off balance… for all they taught was the word…and forgot about the breath…God said let there be light only  ….only after the spirit moved…if the spirit does not move the word will not produce… there will be no results…

If the spirit does not move the word will not produce! (Benny Hinn)

Again we can see how the Holy Spirit is elevated at the cost of the Father and the Son.  Whereupon he forgets that GOD is still one God.   So where the Father goes , the son goes and so does the Holy Spirit.  There can be no thought that the father is sitting somewhere else clueless about the rest of the universe and only knows what is happening when the Holy Spirit reports to him.

To say that the word Jesus will not produce anything unless the Breath Holy Spirit moves is unscriptural.  In creation they acted as ONE.  To place a greater emphasis on one to the detriment of the other is to do great disservice to the truth.

Heb 1: 3  Who being the brightness of [his] glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Heb 1: 10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands

The Father and the Son are not independent third parties whose dependence on a third to get things done.  There are ONE united being.

Part 3

The Bible says clearly ….the Holy Spirit is the active agent  of the godhead on this planet…..There is a mystery as to why… only one of the godhead can be present  at one time on the earth… one day find out…. God the father was active when Moses and the children of Israel  came out of Egypt….Only God the father was on the planet … was seen visibly with the eye on mt Sinai… For a short time God the son was on the earth….Only God the son….now we are living in that season where only the Holy Spirit is living on the planet….God the father and God the son is not here right now… God the father and God the son are in heaven right now… God the Holy Ghost is living on this planet right now.  (Benny Hinn)

Lets stop here for a moment Benny says that it’s the Holy Spirit that’s the presence of God and it’s the Holy Spirit that’s everywhere. And its only the Holy Spirit that knows what’s going on at anytime of the day.  If the Holy Spirit is everywhere why did he cease to be everywhere when the Father was on the earth?  This my friend is a clear contradiction on Benny’s part.

Col 2: 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

This verse makes it clear that the godhead did indeed dwell in Jesus in their fullness.  There can be no teaching that Jesus was somehow left to fend for himself alone without God himself being present.

So the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit were very active in the life of Jesus.

But it gets worse????

Benny says that the Father and the son are not living on the planet at this moment.  Oh really maybe Jesus would have something to say on this matter.

If only one member of the trinity can live on the earth at any given time   why does scripture give us these verses?

Col 1: 27 To whom God would make known what [is] the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory

Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

John 14: 23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him

2 Cor 6: 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in [them]; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

If we have the Holy Spirit here now , why does it not also say that CHRIST IN US IS NOW THE HOPE OF GLORY , because we would have two .  Plus Jesus himself says that the Father and Jesus would come and dwell within the believer.  Now does that not make three?  Three makes ONE triune GOD.

Now God is not some schizophrenic creature with one part over there and one part over here.  Whilst there seems to be order within the godhead of Father Son and Holy Spirit, each has a responsibility within the believer’s life.  They do and act as one.   Where the father is the son is and where they are the Holy Spirit is also.  Just as creation was the product of all three, so was the resurrection of Jesus the work of all three, and the abiding presence of the triune God abides within the Believers life. We cannot elevate the Holy Spirit above the father as this would be prejudice to the spirit and truth of scripture.

According to Benny when God the father brought out the Hebrew Children , The father alone was on the earth.  Lets see if that is true or not.

When Moses led the children out of Egypt we also see: .

Is 63 : 10 But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, [and] he fought against them

1 Cor 10: 4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

Whoops that’s means we had the father Son and Holy Spirit present at the same time.  That makes Benny Hinn a False teacher of the highest quality.  If he cannot look to scripture as sola basis for truth and expound from theories which he derives out of his own imagination, its high time people realise Benny Hinn is no Christian minister.

Acts 16: 8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as [he did] unto us;

Mat 9: 4 And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts.

There can be no doctrine that sees the Holy Spirit as being omnipresent and the Father and the son is limited to some outpost of heaven.  That is not the God of the Bible.

UCMINISTIRES: The continuing course of the creeping sharia across the globe.  Thankfully some more moderate Moslems are voicing their concern against such silly extremism.  On that matter it’s good to know that there are still some level headed Moslems making their voices heard.  But will it make any difference only time will tell.

Islamic province bans women pillion passengers from straddling motorbikes to protect their ‘morals’ in Indonesia

Leaflets have been sent to residents and government offices in the city of Lhokseumawe to inform them about the new rules.

The mayor of the city, Suaidi Yahya, said the change in law is to save people’s ‘morals and behaviours’.

The new regulation has already been criticised – including from well known Muslim activists.

Lhokseumawe is in the province of Aceh, which is the only Indonesian province which follows Sharia law.

According to Mr Yahya, women will only be allowed to sit side saddle. He claimed that when women straddle the bike seat it violates Islamic values.

Speaking to the BBC, he said: ‘When you see a woman straddle, she looks like a man. But if she sits side-saddle, she looks like a woman.’

The new regulation will be assessed by the local government in a month. It could then by turned into a by-law.

Mr Yahya admitted that if women do not follow the rule, they could face punishment. ‘Once it has become a by-law, automatically there will be sanctions,’ he said.

A number of Muslim activists have criticised the regulation.

Ulil Abshar Abdalla, based in Jakarta, said: ‘How to ride a motorbike is not regulated in Sharia. There is no mention of it in the Koran or Hadiths.’

Muslim couple sue school who banned their nine-year-old daughter from wearing a hijab

A school is being sued by a Muslim couple after it banned pupils from wearing the traditional Islamic headscarf.

They launched their legal battle with St Cyprian’s Greek Orthodox primary in south London after withdrawing their nine-year-old from the school when she was banned from wearing one.

The parents say it would be a sin for their daughter’s head to be uncovered while in the presence of male teachers as she has ‘reached puberty’.

After failing to gain the support of the school governors, they have now launched a legal action to overturn the ban.

The school now faces a High Court Case amid claims that the uniform policy is a violation of the child’s religious freedom.

But Kate Magliocco, head of St Cyprian’s Greek Orthodox Primary School in Thornton Heath, south London, said the parents were informed about their uniform policy when their child, whose brother remains a pupil at the school, was first admitted at seven.

She said: ‘The school is being taken to the High Court by parents of a Muslim girl.

‘They believe that, because she is nine, she has reached puberty and it would be a sin for her not to be covered because the school has male teachers.

‘The decision not to allow her to wear a headscarf was taken by the governing body.

‘The school has a very particular uniform policy, which is shared with parents and, as head, I must follow the plan.

Now the fact that the school policy was already written down and everyone who goes to that school abides by it, yet what we see is the course by extremist to change times and season to conform to something which even many Moslem women believe is the subjugation of their rights as women.  I wonder what would be the course of action if the girl in question was unwilling to wear such clothing, another honour killing in the name of Allah and Muhammad.  Now it’s seems to me that if the parents wanted her to attend a school that allows such clothing they would have originally picked such a school.  WHY pick a school in which they know has a policy of school clothing that is contrary to Islamic dress.  I suspect this was a deliberate act to change British values.  The need to take the whole matter to a court of law only highlights an agenda over and above this original issue. If they like the school then there should be a willingness to abide by the dress code, everyone else does. If they win their case then every school in the country will be morally obliged to have a school dress policy that applies to everyone else but Moslems.
