Local Paper does an editorial on the orphanages.  This is part of Philip Cameron Ministries.  Helping to save vulnerable teenagers.  Keep them in your prayers.  Moldavia was once part of the Russian Empire, now an independent country trying to survive.  It is probably one of the poorest in Europe.

SEX TRAFFICKING A WORLD WIDE PROBLEM.

Mat 5:28 But I say unto you, that whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

The word  “LUST AFTER “ carries with it the meaning 1) to turn upon a thing 2) to have a desire for, long for, to desire. 3) to lust after, covet a) of those who seek things forbidden

It carries the idea upon which we want something and if we can’t have it we will take.  God’s original plan was for one man and one woman to enjoy a mutual relationship.  However as we know Adam and Eve disobeyed Gods command and a whole world of woes has descended on mankind ever since.  What was a God give gift was allowed to become twisted, manipulated out of all recognition.

Hbr 13:4 Marriage [is] honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

Yet how often we read that verse and never really embrace the fact that God is the judge of all.  One day that judgement will fall.  But God warns us first, but will we heed it.

UK POLICE RAID SEX PREMISES

Quite recently in the UK the police launched operation codenamed PENTAMETER 2.  I presume that was because this was the second raid in question.

It involved all 55 forces in the UK and the Republic of Ireland and the dedicated UK Human Trafficking Centre in Sheffield.

The first Operation Pentameter in 2006 freed 84 women and teenage girls from brothels and massage parlours and led to 232 arrests.   Think of this for a moment.  This is the UK the land that abolished Slavery centuries ago.  Here we are centuries later and the fight against human trafficking is still a battle.

The home secretary said recent research suggested 4,000 women in the country were working in areas of sexual exploitation and may have been trafficked.

She said there was no evidence to show the problem was getting worse but said the police operation would give a clearer picture.

Women and children were being trafficked from in and outside Europe, and within the UK too, she said.

BE WARNED PASTORS CHRISTIANS AND SUCH LIKE think on this.

Pastors, Christians and you who have an addiction look at the figures.  When you look at a porn screen and you are told that the women is over 18 how do you know that.  In many instances she is made to look 18.  She could be 16.  You think they are enjoying themselves, but look again how do you know that this poor women has not been beaten manipulated brainwashed and made to do what she does.  When you look you are actually being invited to join in and participate in the sex act.  Do you not know that you are being invited to become a guilty party in such an act?  When you lust after you cease to be innocent, instead you become as guilty as the pimps who prostitute these women out.  Before a holy God you are as guilty as the men who brutalize these women and children.

Here is a story I hope will make us all sit up and think.

In 2009 in the UK a young girl (not sure of her age) was brought to the UK by a trafficker who promised her a better life.  She was told that there was a family in the UK that was interested in caring for her.  But upon her arrival she was SOLD into prostitution to an older man.  She was seriously abused to such an extent she thought that she was going to die.  She eventually got away when she claimed she had aids. The man took her and abandoned her.  This reminds me of a commercial from the RSPCA which shows a dog being abandoned by the road side and left.  How cruel you might think to compare a child to a dog.  But you see that was all that this girl was worth in the minds of these pimps.  Bought used and when finished with chucked away.  Thankfully this child was found and given a home.  Now 21 she has become an advocate for the better treatment of other children.  She is one of the survivors.

That was Britain, what about America.

Fifteen year old, Middle class child in a close-knit air force family in suburban phoenix.  But this could in fact be any town or city in the USA.  She was a grade A straight student.  The last person anyone would expect to be forced into this seedy world of sex trafficking.  But she became one of thousands whose story could be repeated.  Some are abducted, lured from their normal lives by unscrupulous tyrants and then trafficked to other part of the world. — Thailand, Cambodia, Latin America and Eastern Europe.  Once out of the country the girls have no one to turn to.  Another country with a different language.

The FBI estimates that well over 100,000 children and young women are trafficked in America today. They range in age from 9 to 19, with the average age being 11.

And many victims are no longer just runaways, or kids who’ve been abandoned. Many of them are from what would be considered “good” families, who are lured or coerced by clever predators, say experts.

“These predators are particularly adept at reading children, at reading kids, and knowing what their vulnerabilities are,” said FBI Deputy Assistant Director, Chip Burrus, who started the Lost Innocence project, which specializes in child- and teen-sex trafficking.

And, he said, these predators are going where the kids are.

“What you can see, time and time again, is that the predators will adapt their means to whatever the young people are doing — whether it’s malls, whether it’s ski slopes, whether it’s beaches,” Burrus said. “Predators … are going to do everything in their power to try to convince young girls, young boys, to come with them and enter this particular lifestyle.”

TODAY, 27 MILLION PEOPLE ARE ENSLAVED, MORE THAN AT THE HEIGHT OF THE TRANSATLANTIC SLAVE TRADE.

BBC1 to air human trafficking drama

The 90-minute drama, scripted by Stephen Butchard, will focus on children brought to the UK in search of a better life who end up working illegally. The BBC described the drama as a “story of modern child slavery“.

I am not sure at present when this drama will take place.

RUSSIA had had one of the worst records for sexual exploitation and trafficking.  However in recent years they have promised to do something about this crisis.  How much only time will tell.

These stories can be repeated over and over.  It is doubtful that anyone can really give a figure on just how big this problem is, only to say its is BIG.

PHILIP CAMERON who is from Peterhead Scotland but whose ministry is predominantly in America has reached out to children in Moldavia, a once communist country.  What was just an outreach to an orphanage has now grown into the establishment of helping children who arrive at the age of sixteen.  Upon which they have to leave the orphanage.  Many have no way to go and therefore become easy targets of unscrupulous men.  Promises of Jobs quickly turn into prostitution.  When you look at the figures related to human trafficking it becomes almost bewildering and staggering.

Philip continues to help others in his ministry to stop the young from being exploited.

So the next time you pick up a porn magazine or watch a porn video think for a moment.  Just where  and how this women has come to be where she is, and then get on your knees and repent that you dare to become a participant with these pimps in the degradation and the brutality of another human being.  Cruel you ask?  Not half.  Your attention fuels this sin sick empire of human degradation.  As a Christian you dishonour the Lord who you claim to serve.  You tread under foot the blood that he shed.  You make a mockery of his sacrifice.  You become just another who spit and jeer at his grace.  Like those who nailed him to the cross you again crucify afresh the son of God,

Here are just some of the figures which have been thrown out.  This is not just massive it is staggering.

Some Facts About Child Sex Trafficking.

A study done in Thailand found that 60-70% of child prostitutes are HIV POSITIVE.Every year, approximately one million children are sexually exploited in Asia. An estimated 1.2 million children are trafficked each year for the purpose of sexual exploitation.

The trafficking industry generates $9.5 billion of revenue each year.

SEX TRAFFICKING = the recruitment, harboring, transportation, provision, or obtaining of a person for the purpose of a commercial sex act in which a commercial sex act is induced by force, fraud, coercion, or in which the person forced to perform such an act is under the age of 18 years.

Two people arrested in KANSAS CITY for sex trafficking of three young girls, all under the age of 15.

About 700,000 to 4 million women and children in the world are trafficked each year, meaning every thirty seconds another person becomes a victim.

Over the last decade, 750,000 women and children have been trafficked into the United States.

The maximum for trafficking offenses is only ten years imprisonment whereas distributing one kilo of heroin is life imprisonment, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

Wasn’t slavery abolished in 1865?

There have been reports of trafficking instances in at least 20 different states, with most cases occurring in New York, California, and Florida.

There is a predicted 27 million slaves world-wide, TODAY.

2004: 7000 traffickers prosecuted, 3000 convicted. Justice?

In 1850 slaves cost $40,000 (today’s dollar), today they only cost $30…

In October 2000, the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000 was enacted. Prior to this legislation, there was no Federal law that protected victims of trafficking or prosecuted their traffickers for their wrongdoings.

Justice for Children International (JFCI) works toward the abolition of child sex trafficking and exploitation through aftercare, prevention and advocacy. JFCI trains aftercare workers, multiplies safe homes, aids socioeconomic development programs in high-risk communities and provides a voice for these victims of modern-day slavery.

The good news is that people and groups are becoming more aware.  More is being put into place to inform and make changes at the highest levels.  Slaves are being set free, but the greatest freedom from our slavery is found in Jesus.  Lust can never be won by mere denial.  The Roman catholic Church has tried and failed for centuries,  Lust can never be won by good actions.  Lust can only be won at the feet of Jesus.

Phl 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of [his] good pleasure.

Hbr 13:21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom [be] glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Only a life which has come to an end of itself, choosing to be fully surrendered to Christ.  Not in our strength but in his.  A life that acknowledges that only his grace can deliver and save.  A humility to accept we are truly poor wretches.

2Cr 1:10 Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver [us];

Gal 1:4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:

Rom 7:23-25 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.   O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?   I THANK GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD. SO THEN WITH THE MIND I MYSELF SERVE THE LAW OF GOD; BUT WITH THE FLESH THE LAW OF SIN.

This is where we need to get too and the realisation that we are sinful creature devoid of morality.  Unless Jesus saves we are lost and helpless but he who died can save to the uttermost.

When hope comes to an orphange.

The world looked on when the Berlin wall came down and the closed world of communism began to open its doors to the west.  In the west even our poorest is still rich in comparison to many who once lived behind the iron curtain.

Stories so tragic and horrible we would like to shrink away.  Places where toilets were nothing more than holes in the ground and toilet paper did not exist.  Washing hardly exists and the smell almost unbelievable.

We are used to heating in our rooms but what about rooms that have no heating and the temperatures fall lower than even our worst winter and children die from the cold on a regular basis.  How can we imagine a place where Children have no idea what toys should be used for?

It can be hard to imagine a state where resources are so limited that orphanages are nothing more than run down filthy disease ridden hovels.  Worst is still to come when they turn sixteen they are given a bus ticket and shown the door.  Suddenly without any proper education and backup they have to make their own way in the world.  Sadly human trafficking becomes the nightmare of many.

This is an article from a minister called Philip Cameron.  Originally from Peterhead Scotland but now ministers in America and in a small former Russian state called Moldavia.  His passion and hearts desire is to save as many as he can.  This is his testimony

Stella was one of the first girls Philip met when he went to the orphange at Hincesti, Moldova. Hincesti was the first orphanage Philip visited, and the place our ministry to help Moldova’s children began. Although much has been done to transform the orphanage there, it was a truly horrific place in the beginning. As Philip worked to ensure that we stopped children freezing to death or dying from malnutrition, he got to know many of the children personally.

One young girl was named Stella. She was a natural leader, and became an unofficial guide to Philip when he visited the orphanage. She would tell Philip about special needs that some of the other kids had, and generally did her best to look out for the other kids. Stella’s hobby was sewing, and she had made two beautiful tapestries from meager supplies of material and thread that she had somehow managed to obtain. On one of Philip’s first visits, she gave him one of the tapestries. A poverty-stricken orphan, she gave away half of her most treasured possessions.

Needless to say, Philip was greatly moved by her gift, and from that time on, he made sure she never ran out of thread or material.

Then, at age sixteen, tragedy struck. Stella was put out of the orphanage. In the place she was sent to be “cared for,” she was treated brutally and she ran away. When Philip returned to the orphanage and heard what had happened, he searched desperately, but he never found her.

One of our workers was tasked to find her, but all he found were tragic stories from people who had seen her… SHE WAS SELLING HER BODY TO LIVE. That was bad enough, but even worse was to come when the orphanage doctor delivered awful news to Philip…

“She’s dead… AIDS!” This tragic young girl was used by vile men until they killed her.

EVERY YEAR IN JUNE, MORE “STELLAS” ARE FORCED OUT OF ORPHANAGES ALL OVER MOLDOVA.

Although there are some state programs that are supposed to care for these kids, Moldova’s resources are extremely limited. At this stage, untold thousands of them simply fall through the cracks and are never seen or heard from again.

These children are sent away from the orphanages with a few dollars and a bus ticket to whatever town appears on their birth certificate. That’s when the sex-traffickers make their move, and pounce on the girls. Corrupt orphanage officials have even tipped off the traffickers as to the availability of “suitable girls.” These vile men show up at the bus station with fancy cars and lure girls away with promises of good jobs, plenty of money and nice apartments. But once the girl enters the car, she is enslaved, tortured, raped and beaten until she complies with the wishes of her new masters. Finally she will arrive in some far off country, where she is placed into the hands of eager customers as often as thirty times a day.

Moldova has been described as “the engine of the sex industry.” Human trafficking is rampant. When Philip realized that girls like Stella, whom we had worked so hard to protect in the orphanages at Cupcui and Hincesti, were being abandoned to lives of horror at the hands of the sex traffickers, he knew that an answer had to be found immediately.

THAT ANSWER IS CALLED STELLA’S HOUSE!

Located in Moldova’s capital city, Chisinau, young girls from the orphanages are able to get an education, have a safe place to stay, and live in a family-like environment where Godly people will care for them, teach them about Jesus and keep them safe.

Stella’s House 1 (shown at right) has been in operation since 2006. Stella’s House 2 was officially opened in April 2009 by the United States Ambassador to Moldova, Asif J. Chaudhry. Both homes were purchased, finished, then beautifully decorated and furnished by the faithful provision of God and the generous compassion of His people!

STELLA’S HOUSE No.1 AND No. 2 ARE ALREADY SAVING LIVES RIGHT NOW!

But this is just the beginning. Moldovan officials are already asking us, “What about the others?” With God’s help — AND YOURS — we are working night and day to take care of as many of these young girls as possible. As of December 2009, Stella’s House 3 is near completion, and we have already secured the site for Stella’s House 4. Stella’s 2, 3 and 4 are all adjacent properties, so when complete, all three homes will become a single, secure campus. As long as vulnerable young girls are being thrust out of orphanages on to the streets of Moldova, Stella’s House be there, offering them a home, hope and a future!
