Israel tells Chinese workers sign no-sex contract or else.

Article from a local paper has this to say:

Chinese workers at a company in Israel have been forced to agree not to have sex with or marry Israelis as a condition of getting a job.

According to a contact they are required to sign, male workers may not have any contact with Israeli women – including prostitutes, a police spokesman, Rafi Yaffe, said.

He said there was nothing illegal about the requirement and that no investigation had been opened.

An Israeli lawyer who did not want to be named said while the contract might appear legal, it would be rejected if challenged in court. “The point is that a Chinese worker will agree to anything and then will not have anyone to help them if there is a problem,” he said.

The labourers are also forbidden from engaging in any religious or political activity. The contract states that offenders will be sent back to China at their own expense.

About 260,000 foreigners work in Israel, having replaced Palestinian labourers during three years of fighting. When the government first allowed the entrance of the foreign workers in the late 1990s, ministers warned of a “social timebomb” caused by their assimilation with Israelis.

More than half the workers are in the country illegally. Israeli police have increased efforts to deport those working without permits because of rising Israeli unemployment, which has reached 11% in recent months.

Advocates of foreign workers, who also come from Thailand, the Philippines and Romania, say they are subject to almost slave conditions, and their employers often take away their passports and refuse to pay them.

Analysts say there is much division within Israeli society over immigration and status, although the conflict with the Palestinians has given it an appearance of unity. Recent immigrants such as Russians and Ethiopians are disliked by older immigrants, and there is much resentment among secular Israelis at the privileges given to ultra-orthodox Jews. The foreign workers are at the bottom of the pile.

The whole nazi philosophy of a superior Arian race married the German people before and during the second world.  In some parts of Germany today we still see some remnants of this philosophy emerging.  It is believed that this philosophy led the way for the killing of Jews, and a countless numbers of others based upon some derange idea that they were inferior.  Therefore this led many to excuse the killing of fellow human beings as nothing more than the killing of any animal that might be found in a field.  It has been this supposed superiority that led many injustices throughout the centuries.  We are all equal but some are more equal than others.  The Baron or Lords was superior to those who worked his fields.  The pope was superior to the Kings that ruled nations.  Whites were superior to blacks.  So prejudiced stained the human race from one generation to the next all the way back to Cain and Able.  Cain despised his brothers offering and so killed his brother Abel.

Remarkably  that a an ethnic race that apparently suffered so much at the hands of such ethnic philosophy would now begin to do the same thing to others?    The right to pursue a friendship no matter what the colour, creed or background should be enshrined as a basic human right which cannot be legislated against, simple because it might mix the blood lines with a supposed inferior race.    If Israel continues with such a stupid policy then it also has the right to be labelled apartheid and anti-Semite.

If we know anything we know that such policies will do more harm to that countries legitimacy.  Also in many ways this policy is like trying to close the door after the horse has bolted.  Jews have for centuries intermarried which can be seen in the many coloured Ethiopian Jews who immigrated into Israel, compared to the white European Jews.  Never mind the Chinese, Russian and even Palestinian comparisons.

In the end the debate as to who are the real jews is still open to much discussion.

Is the influence of ultra-orthodox Jews particularly being applied here? If their numbers continue to rise based on welfare from their privelliged status, Israel may lose much of its Western support. One wonders if UOJ’s may become as bad as radical Islamist in trying to control a democratic State
